If it was me I'd check both swivels are shot first.
If you can do it yourself, Adam a trader on here from Renault Wolverhampton is cheapest for new parts, otherwise you can send the hub away for refurbishing.
If you can't do it, there are several independent traders on here who won't rip you...
There's quite a few threads around on this if you do a google search.
The bottom swivel is common and is £200 a side as it comes as part of an ally casting that the hub mounts to. Apparently there's a company that will replace the swivel for about £60ish, plus you need to remove and send them...
There's a fixing but above the headlining at the back of the car.
Original aerial has an amplifier built into the base, so let us know how the shark fin works.
If it's a non cup, it may be the heater resistor.
When it fails it either stops completely or runs flat out regardless of the settings on the climate panel.
There's a test where you can bridge the unit out so it runs flat out, try a search on here.
Several people on eBay do an exchange repair...
Hi
The heater on my car seems a bit colder than what I remember last year.
I have a 172 with climate.
When it's on auto, it always seems on half fan speed. If I set it to max or min I get full blower speed and full hot or cold air out of the heater, so think the roof mounted sensor may be...
My 200 was owned by a 60 year old who mainly did motorway miles, it had a new box at 60k miles when the car was just over 2 years old.
Bottom swivels on the front hubs go too, £200 a side unless you can get the swivels replaced in the ally casting.
Wifes 58 plate 197 has 60k miles with no...
Bounce the corner of the car, if you push down, it should rise and drop, settling in the normal position. If it bounces up and down like an american 70's barge the damper is shot-thought this was how the mot testers checked??
I had a an advisory a for worn top mount and it was actually a broken spring? I thought it would be difficult to lift the suspension enough with a bar to test a damper, thought they used the 'bounce' test?
Bringing up an old threads!
This cured my lads car! The battery went flat amd all i got was a solid immobiliser light, so switched ignition on for 30 seconds, key out, lock and unlock doors and it fired up!
Cheers!
I've just retrofitted mine, cruise wouldn't work without a clutch switch.
I bridged the two pins out whilst I'm waiting for the switch and its working fine now!
Looks like the switch bracket on the clutch is missing? Will check mine when it stops raining!
I had my tracking done recently and found sometimes the wheel would be fine in a straight line and other times it was a couple of degrees anti clock wise.
I looked at the rack mounts and there is a polished/clean bit of the rack about 1mm either side of the mounting rubber, so I got the wife to...
First of all, many thanks to those who organised the event. It must have taken a lot of time and effort.
I have a 9 year old who loved all the free stuff and spent most of the afternoon on them.
Food for me was fine, but I'm not a veggie or pregnant!
The venue was OK, but I cringed when some...
These fitted my 172 non cup and standard 182, they're not lemforder but have been on the car a few months now without a problem.
