Sounds like a cv joint. See if it's noisier on full lock rather than partial lock and see if it happens in one direction more than the other!

Lower hub carrier £200 from Renault although you can get the swivel replaced if you send the hub away for £50/70 (do a search on google!) Play in steering sounds like inner tie rods (connect track rod end to steering rack) but I've read racks can fail! Hope this helps a bit!

Ecp was an extra 5% off today! Yes unclip fuel connector, wrap some tissue around it as some fuel will spill out. Mine didn't have much pressure even though I drove it in my garage.

There's only 2 connections on the injector, measure across them. Just had one fail, was fine one day, hunted on tickover the next day and a misfire the day after! Faulty injector reads 3ohms.
