havent smelt the oil yet. gave it some easy start and all it does is chuff with loads of white smoke coming out the back. no effort to start, just starter motor turning it over.
the guy who had it before me said it had a running problem which was supossedly fixed by renault for a pricey sum...
been told by a renault diesel mechanic. he said it sounds like a bag of f**king bolts. tapping/knocking away and the noise not clearing as the revs go higher.
he was the original guy that did the leak of test to find out my old injectors are fucked. it drank fuel on those like no tommorow so i...
done it today, set of 80's from my spare parts engine, had my ecu flashed back ( guy came out with the computer with my original map on and re loaded it ) coded injectors. will not run at all, getting no compression, engine is way to easy to turn over.
its had a ticking/ knocking noise for...
as far as im aware and looking on cliodci.net the pumps are the same pressures but differnt maufacturesn
does 65kw mean 80hp? just to make Sure i didnt by 80's in the end
f**k sake had enough.
car will not start in the morning or after being sat for a while ( hour or two )
engine tries to fire but cant. spray a little easy start into the intake, it'll fire up and run perfect, drive around switch off , it'll start again if done with in 10 mins.
i give up...
same design, both solinoid driven injectors. peirzo ( style injection )
its running perfect now, havent had any problems since yet.
future reference to anyome that fits dci 80 k9k 702 engines with dci 100 injectors, dont do it lol
ecu didnt like the codes that we gave it. didnt like the code disk thar the lads at renault programmed via clip.
i feel sorry for mark that went out his way to sort it for me.
leaving it alone now.
he couldny orginally get the ecu to play ball. changed to the back up mapping computer and uploaded the dci 100 mapp and then tunned it slightly to run better. no big power remap, just a standard'ish tweaked map.
spent hours try to get the ecu to respond.
got there in the end. lesson...
a speedbump that says hello to the friggin bus as it goes over....!
says f**k off to people in a 1.2 :rasp:
get the tracking done ASAP when you have moneys, or your new tyres will be cheese
sorted. now big power gain map. just adapted to suit dci 100 injectors. so fairly standard again.
fault codes was previously stored and not cleared.
runs sweet now, lovely diesel injector tapping lol :D
and found a small air leak on fuel line which by the sound of the engine , it made...
fault codes found ! maf sensor inactive.
fuel rail pressure switch not functioning.
egr valve circuit open.
how?!! the car is running on the rollers. no black smoke or any other worrying things.
i wounder if SRS did something with the clip computer :s
dynodata something or other. it will go to upload the map and then is says lost connection to ecu.
same for trying to clear the map.
this car will be the f**king death of me. its driving me fuxking nuts!!
the guy is having a right laugh, he siad who ever played with the map before has put it on a one way ticket to destruction.
having to have the map set back to basics before tweaking it. im only running 0.7 boost atm down to the fuel/air ratio :(
normal boost is around 1bar and remapped...
yeah, all common rails. mines an dci 80. only two other differences bettween my 80 and a 100 is intercooler and fuel pump. mines an delphi and 100 have a bocsh pump
running in cycle, ? the guy did something that made the revs go up and down for 10 mins.
i pressume thats a test mode....
i know he said everything is running a correct pressure and firing at the right time. all injection control is corect and paramounts ( sp ) set to suit.
i cant really...
will book it in for a map tommorow. cant have it anylonger feeling like a snail.
cannot remember the max bhp they can map it to tho as if i remember the clutch cant hold much more after 200 torque something other
edit, the ecu must know they are 100 injectors, the codes are for...
theres no reall difference across the range bettween 65/80/100. just power out put as the 80/100 injectors have better internals. it coded to the ecu alright. fuel pressures all look normal, and it idle perfectly. just hasnt got the gutts behind it ::S
unless something clip wise went tits up...
sorted now, the square fuese thing on the red live lead, had an hairline crack in. held it to gether and asked a mate to start it, electrical fault gone. let go and it comes back. can i just order that peice of loom or not?
hi all, i have a dci 80, the old injectors are fucked, so iv opted to get dci 100 injectors.
fitted them today, towed the car down to SRS renault , and gave them the disc to code all four injectors via clip.
now, when i had the old 80 injectors, my exhaust sounded allot louder and boost was...
its true, nissan sell bits way cheaper than renault for the same stuff lol.
admittedly i did borrow my dads BAE systems pass to get abit more nocked off at trade price.
