Re: Which model Clio do you prefere and why?
MK1 all the way. yes i might be 17 and never seen the MK1 valver/williams era but i love how the look.
if i had the money, id be buying one and fully restoring it to as much as ' out of the factory ' they can get
nope mines on purple TD 1.2's or my mess about wheels which renault 172 alloys in silver.
my car is a black dci with 172 body parts and low.
there is a silver 182 further up from me with OZ super T type wheels on.
very true, theres 2 nice 182's round near me that are not on here, such a shame aswell...
still makes me laugh, nuneaton is starting to boom with RS's.
bit of a coincidence that three of us in the same place litterally seconds apart
cant find the thread on about lacquers but i just asked my dad to take it work, and get one of the lads in the aircraft spray booth to lacquer it for me.
halfrauds stuff just seems to take a day n age to set and its crap for small things.
i would suggest getting some lacquer made up into a...
not always the case, if its halfrauds lacquer then chuck it and get some decent lacquer. i detest that crap as i fooked up my engine cover applying halford lacquer :(
i found out that when i sprayed my badges it was more better finish with one lightish coat of lacquer and then wait 20mins...
yes it will be fine to drive without it on. does it still have the same symptons when cold air is on instead of heat? on max fan speed.
as for how to fix it, i havent a clue where the location of the heater is, but im sure somewhere thers a guide on it.
very nice, what type of exhaust system you going for? full custom or mix match of off the shelf parts?
will definatl be allot more funn to drive after a good all out mapping. these engines respond so well to remaps
your heater box could be fubard, sounds like the motor may have started to pack up, explains the squeaking noise and burning smell
either that or something got stuck making the noise and now its smelling because of it being heated by the heater matrix
cheers mate. already clearwd the fault codes on a renault clip computer, but the come bacl instantly when the engine is started.
injectors are off this weekend for a clean out and health check down at diesel dynamiqs
right problem update, changed the EGR valve last night, drove to a mate that was working at renault today, he plugged it in, wiped the fault codes. started my engine up again and the DF408 EGR maximum come straight back on :( im stuck what to do next. cylinder trouble comes back when i give it...
Im trying the EGR valve fix first. Then going down the fuel delivery system route.
Timing is almost perfect, compression check shows no differnce on any cylinder.
f**k it , i'll take the head off again and re-lap every valve and time it all up again
How many miles has your car done mate, my EGR valve has started to play up and im nearly 100k on the clocks.
Though id warn you iy messes the engine up and makes it run rough when its clogged or nackered. Same engines and model dci 80.
Cheers tonks! Already had it off for a clean and the valve but is actaully fucked. It wont open or close.
Qlso notice abit of oil around the seal on the plastic boost pipe to top intercooler inlet thing. ( near alternator )
this pritty much sums up most of my engines idle problems and problems when running_
EGR Valve An EGR, or Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve is a means of reducing NOx (Nitrogen Oxide) emissions from your engine. The EGR valve, as its name suggests, re-circulates exhaust gases to act as a coolant...
