Unless you're spending major bucks, it'll still be gutless. & if you're spending major money you may as well buy a faster car, it'd probably work out cheaper that way.
But we are all different mate.
Removing the secondary (main cat) & silencer is popular. They sound epic!!
You will notice the flat spot through the bottom end of the rev range a bit more though, some say it's worse than others.
I've got my silencer removed & have to say you only notice the flat spot if you're driving badly...
Mini, Juniors & seniors for me....
Then ran out of dollar haha. Although I'm likely to be back in a car next year tho, in the form of a formula ford, Hopefully.
Basically I have a dodgy knee currently, & i'm having an operation & my car will not be used for 8 weeks or so because of a boxing incident.
I have seen there's a number of companys who do detailing in my area, but if there is anyone here who would fancy detailing my car then I thought I'd give...
I absolutely love mine but they aren't for everyone!
The problem with the 200 is a lot of the pro's are cons for certain people,
The ride is pretty hard, but not terrible.
I've driven a lot of exotic machines over the years & the Clio is well up there with the best of them for fun.
It isn't...
No problem at all bud.
I'd go with HEL Braided lines & either AP fluid or ATE super blue.
With regards to pads there's a number of options, depending on what you're using it for? Lets assume it's fast road & a bit of track!? I'd probably go with the standard Brembo HC discs, & either DS2500's...
Welcome, car looks tidy mate!
Gearbox is the main issue, alone with squeeky master cylinders.
Great little cars, if it was mine I'd possibly change the exhaust & do the pads, fluid & hoses. I'd leave it be from there.
OP I understand this is probably all news to you but what you have done is massively idiotic in the nicest possible way.
Have you not ever seen the sh*t that gets caught by your air filter? Dust particles alone will do damage to an engine. I'd suggest getting your oil flushed ASAP as well as a...
Exactly the same reason here mate. I got mine very cheap & personally think there's little between them & the DS's althought I haven't tracked on mine as of yet, they've never faded under fast road driving.
Little dust as well.
I have the pads, not the fluid. They are relitively new pads so still rare ish at the moment.
I have super blue in my 200.
I would say they are a massive improvement over the standard pads (which fell appart). They're ok from cold & mega once they warm up a bit.
Nice write up.
The top picture makes the new clio look alright but in every other picture, I have to say I'm really not keen at the moment.
I'm fully aware people will mod the new one to death & it'll be rapid, but it just doesn't seem as 'special' if you can use that word for a clio.
P.S...
I've got a K&N panel in mine, can't say I've noticed much in the way of noise but it was free so i'm not complaining.
Some say you do on ITG's, I personally can't see it myself tho.
