Still made a difference in FPA as well mate. Fresh tyres, more regular rebuilds, fresh brakes etc, still worth time.

The Gordini isn't a particularly desirable model on the whole. Use the search function mate, pretty sure it's come up before.

Wire brush/sand them back a bit, bit of panel wipe & paint away.

Happens more than I think people realize though mate. Because many tend to die in hospital as opposed to track side it doesn't get made a big of a deal.

Could be a sticky caliper as well mate, they suffer from it.

Same with flat shift boxes, still use the clutch on the way down regardless. They say with some you don't have to, but especially in the wet it really upsets the car under braking.
