I got a set from the garage but they supplied the standard grey Clio mats. I bought the proper red ones separately, they ain't cheap unfortunately.

Hmm could be any number of things, I would say I've fully rebuilt mine so it has all new injectors and oxygen sensors. If servicing etc is all fine, those are the places id start. I noticed a the injectors smoothed the engine and idle, the oxygen sensor noticeably improved my mileage per tank...
Yeah it's a bit of a weird one and something I noticed when I collected the car, it's been into the garage twice and both times it's not been fixed. Eventually contacted Renault customer services who informed me it's a known issue. Basically flickering static down the whole left channel of the...
Yeah a smidge annoying about the speakers, it seems to be only the BOSE items affected mind, but from early investigations it's down to the Rlink headunit. Apparently France are investigating it as it's affecting other models aswell.
Headunit aside, all of the other electrics are sound... until...
Yeah I've already set it for sport on the throttle, thought extreme was a bit too bitey :) the screen sorted itself out the day after weirdly and it's not done it since, it does ocasiaonlly reload the maps still though when skipping tracks on my phone.
Tyre pressures was an odd one, I checked...
Great build, PMS have had some trade from you haha
Have you drove it without the PAS yet ? I've just removed mine but might be a few more months before it's driving, some say it's pretty heavy without it !
The 172's are exceptionally good on fuel for what they are, 350 miles to a tank wasn't uncommon for my ph1.
I'm looking forward to finishing up the PH1 over the summer and getting it back on the road
Had the car into the garage to have the speaker issue looked at, issue has not been fixed as it's a "natural phenomenon" with the Rlink unit... something to check for any prospective buyers, it seems to be the ones with the BOSE - an audiable flickering static from the speakers down the left...
A few of these on here now  Be careful around kerbs, the alloys are completely exposed on these (I've made contact twice and it's ruined them!)
I see you got the standard clio mats too, they make RS badge'd red ones :)
I can honestly say the only thing that has annoyed me so far is the lack of tyre sidewall protection, the smallest bit of contact ruins the alloys. These should have 215/225 wide tyres IMO.
The nav unit is poor, it's buggy and slow to respond, if you crank the volume up quickly the volume lags...
The sport logo will go from green to red when you need to change yeah, or alternatively it'll beep in race to let you know to change.
Also 23mpg would be a little low, I think realistically anything between 28 and 32 is reasonable with the occasional hoon. On longer trips with cruise control on...
That's pretty high, I have a 40 mile motorway commute and I do it all in auto and stick to 70, I get between 28 and 30 over a tank and that's with the occasional blast on a weekend.
When I got mine I had it booked in to a detailer to have Gtechniq crystal serum applied (it's a ceramic layer, so hard if you get it wrong it has to be sanded off) and a coating of Gtechniq EXO V3 on top for a hydrophobic layer to make it easy to clean.
Cost about £600 including correction (a...
If fitted - the RS monitor is the flag icon across the top of the Nav unit, or if you go into options and change the homepage layout, you can get it on the home screen.
28 mpg is about what I'm getting too, I was expecting more to be honest.
No tips beyond there's a hook for the petrol filling...
Yeah the red with the RS badge, pretty steep for what they are !
Cheers for the diff recommendations, it's going to be purely a track car but I don't want to have to keep pulling it out and rebuilding it :)
It's been about a month now, a little update on how things are going. Car is a smidge under 2000 miles and is fully run in.
I've been tracking my fuel usage and it's certainly not as frugal as the 172.
Still having issues with the speaker static and the Nav unit occasiaonally rebooting itself...
Yeah it's the start stop, it disables when in sport/race. There's a button on the right to disable it outright. You can stand on the brake with just enough force to hold the car and it won't kick in, press the brake down more and the system will kick in.
The gearbox is down to you really and...
One thing I would say when you collect the car, check the tyre pressures. I checked mine before a long journey by chance, they were all set to 45psi... They take 30r/36f
Also regarding the clutches, they should last the life of the car and have been shown to take increased power from a larger...
I echo the above regarding the alloys, they have zero protection, so much as going near a kerb and they are damaged.
Don't trust the reverse cameras when it comes to reversing near a kerb, I learned the hard way 2 weeks after buying mine.
The book advises 600 miles to run in - not many miles by...
