Bought from a CS member and only really played around with it last night!
It was quite dark and no tripod but my mate got a new puppy last night so i had to try it....
I will get some better ones in better light but i was quite impressed with how well the lens coped in such low...
Thanks guys, he's here all the time now so i'm going to get more!
It's a sigma 70-300mm but these are low res versions just for speed of uploading cause photobucket is slow at the best of times lol
My dad uses one and my mate used an E520. Both cracking little cameras!
The auto setting on it is pretty good too, only thing i've found is that they can be a little bit noisey.
Your head position doesnt match whats in the rear view now lol ..
Canny job none the less! I remember someone postin a similar shot but done in one exposure!
LOL thats what someone posted the first time i got photos of a red kite.
This fella wasnt bothered about me taking photos of him! Went back out today to see if i could get the same experience in better light.. unfortunatly no such luck! Heres a couple more photos from yesterday!
Cheers guys!
Taken with my canon 20d and a sigma 70-300mn.
He let me get right below him! I will post more tomorrow.
Robbos I can sort a high res version if you like? Il just need to sharpen it a bit.
Well.. After 2-3 month of watching these birds i managed to get within 6ft of a red kite.. who was more than happy to pose for me. Heres two of the best shots i have.
I took 54 photos before he flew too far for me to follow..
C&C welcome.
I found something interesting while i was taking long exposures near the horrible orange street lights.
Take one shot with your white balance on "Auto WB" and then put it on "Custom"
I found that it gives you a more natural light, and gets rid of the orange glow without getting a blue tint to...
My first and after seeing my skin.... probably my last LOL
I really want a nifty fifty (if anyone has one for sale..canon EF fit :rasp:)
This was taken with my 18-55mm
C&C welcome.
Well i've wanted a shot of this bird for ages now and i finaly have one im fairly pleased with.. still annoyed at the blown out sky but hey! always next time!
And just one more i love from today!
Splash landings!
The red kites are difficult to get a shot of because they just soar so...
i know where it is! just forgot it! My dad was given an old film camera, with flashgun, light metre, 500mm lens, pancake lens and several filters.. including 6 grads .. which i've now borrowed! lol
Yep! Cokin filters, i was missing the holder for the front of the lens but i just handheld them in so im expecting better results when i use them properly.
His photos are awesome.. thats grads at work! Look at the photos with the guy sitting on the fence! you can see the yellow grad slowly...
Ok im really pleased with all of the photos i took earlier with the grads and can't wait to get back out there and use them properly!
Straight out the camera, border added + text thats all.
:approve:
Well i was up at 4:30 this morning to get out with the camera... and it chucked it down 10 minutes after i got out so i had to cal it a day.. for now..
Managed to get a few shots im happy with!
I'll see what the weather holds up like and may have some more later! :D
I was in manual! .. never thought of shutter priority.
I'll have a look before my next outing, wont be til at least saturday! or monday but thatsmy birthday so i'll probably be on my back before 12! hah.
Heres one of mine mate, Not very clear tbh but this panning is still very new to me.
