You give me £150 for the nikon and i'll take it! ;-)
They do seem to shift for around £150 -£200 though!
The 5D would be a brilliant camera .... but not for sports. You would want a 1D for that tbh! 8.5fps.
The EOS 10D is a good starter camera, although you could pick up the 20D for around about £200 which is 8.2mp.
I have a 300D which is the same 6.3mp as the 10D and there is a difference in quality.
Until i got my 1D Mkii i have been using a 20D and it's produced some cracking photos for me!
If you need any questions answering, post them. Your not expected to know everything when you irst pick it up!
I recently got a 1D Mkii and f*ck me.. the menus/buttons are alot different to my old 300D and 20D!
Give one of us canon fanboys a shout :P

Cracking little camera, or for £499 you can get the twin lens kit.
The D40/D60 doesnt have autofocus built into the camera so you are limited to what lenses you can use on them.. as my mate found out...
Very true, I get grief off my dad when ic omplain about getting a shot like that lol.
Thing is, i would love to do wildlife photography for a living and I know a few lads that do it and the standard that employers expect is very high so i try to keep pushing.. wildlife however isnt so...
of waiting/trying i managed to get as close as i can focus to a kingfisher.

Only had time to rattle off a few shots before the shutter scared her off though!
I started off doing alot of landscapes and got really bored/tired with it.... then moved onto wildlife and i can't wait itl my next day off to get out and about because i never know what im gonna see.. unless im after a barn owl or kingfisher then i can pick my spots!
I was looking for a 28-135 for a wedding shoot because I've seen them put up for sale on TP for £40-£60! :S
Might be worth looking into though as it seems they are still £270ish new.
Argos have quite a few DSLR's in and they are pretty fairly priced. They do packages too with twin lens kits, bags and memory cards.. may be worth a look in!
Canon 1D mkii (away atm :( will have it back shortly!:D)
Canon 20D with BG-EN2 Grip
Canon 300D
18-55mm f/3.5-5.6
35-80mm f/4-5.6
Sigma 70-300 f/4-5.6
Canon 50mm f1.8
Canon 300mm f4 L
No tripod just a beanbag (I only really shoot wildlife)
Wired and wireless remote (for the 300D)
Wired...
Send sigma a photo of it first, they may not be bale to repair it.. or at a cost effective price.
I have a broken olympus 40-150 lens i can take some photos of to satisfy your curiosity? lol
I have no clue, I know its been used for wildlife previously and I've used it before i actualy bought it.
I took that photo of its worst side.
The lads i see have the canon 400 an 500 L and there more grey than white!
This is ideal for me, i usualy use my sigma at 300 and nothing less!
