Just bought one from a friend and i love it already.. had it since tuesday and the quality on the L glass is brilliant. I have only had one morning to test it out and managed to grab these two shots.. He attempts to dive but stops mid dive and turns round and flies off about 60ft away and...

Brilliant mate! Only thing i would want to see is the second one but with more of the sky in, it looks more interesting that the sand!

Try usuing manual focus for this sort of photo, you usualy get better results. also i noticed theres a fair bit of noise in the photo so try using a lower ISO .. i always use ISO 100 for night time shots. Also with this being a still image you can get away with using F22 and a long exposure...

A lens hood on the second pic would have helped reduce the flare, like the top one though!

I'v just bought a 300mm F4 L prime for £300 so im looking forward to using it!

neat image is supposed to be a great program to use. The free trial is the same as the full version .. without a photoshop plugin... just mean savin em and opening in photoshop or vice versa

I asked our local store and they said we dont even do that!

He also puts a fish tank just under the water so he knows where they will dive! Smart but not what im after! I physicaly cant move the perch in this instance but if i find another spot i may try it out!

Got ALL the kingfisher shots i wanted .. in the space of 10-11 hours today! Pretty chuffed atm tbh!! You wait for one and then two turn up!! (3 actualy but they never landed at the same time!) 1. 2. 3. 4. My favourite is number 4! And what the kingfisher didnt want you to see...

I didn't lol he was all over! Just kept startin to doze off and suddenly spring back to life! Great fun though! I prefer taking photos of animals/wildlife! Would love to do it full time!

Lovely dog! Very energetic though!! Had to catch him when he was catching his breath! 170-500 is off the cards, changed my mind.. would rather go for a 300 prime and 2x TC .. after using one!
