Typical :P im doing an oil change on pay day anyway :) Thanks :D
Would anybody rate Castrol Magnetec, going to buy some oil on weekend and im thinking 5-40/10-40
Had the timing belt done a few month back, does anybody know if the accessory belt would have been changed at the same time (I have the invoice below)
Thankies :)
As above, under the plastic on drivers side, few clips and you will see a plastic box. then 2 screws iirc, make sure the plastics are on right after, job done :)
Disk's

Cant go wrong with them, it's also better to use a more aggressive pad with these such as;

Pad's are expensive if you want more friction, although stay away...
I had the same issue, emissions light comes on because there is petrol in the cat (When I replaced my coilpack the light went off with no need for a reset) Also the engine will be very rough and rock about the engine bay alot. Sounds as above, coilpack issue :)
Could be a few things, more noise tends to mean more air escaping though. Might be anything from a blown exhaust to a leaky inlet, is the noise progressive or does it just come out when you floor it ?
Emissions light will be the petrol going through to the cat, i'm not familiar with the exact engine layout but try this, start the engine up and remove the coil leads one at a time, you should notice when a working one is removed the engine will struggle (or stall) and the other 3 will try pick...
Could be anything, try jacking the car up on axle stands, take the front wheel's off and set it in gear. From outside see if there is any noise from ball joint, its a long shot but you never know
:( I think I would cry to come home to that, Fingers crossed you can get something arranged to get it replaced. Seen this happen to my neighbours Focus, not a pretty sight at all :(
TDC sensor's can stop the engine cranking, only when the connection is completely shot though. When mine went both the starter and the TDC died together :(
Have you tried the TDC sensor ? killed mine, just makes a clicking noise when attempting to start. Good way to test this is to take a spark plug out and try start it and see if it sparks
GL :)
My boot lid's got a bit of a rattle going on, can anybody else have a quick look at the metal arm/hook on the boot liner/bumper and tell me if there's has any play. Think mine might need changing.
My drivers side is like this too, the scrap yard is handy for things like this as you can see whats on offer before you buy/pocket :P
Might also worth noting you have to remove your dashboard to replace the bulb (You probably already know :P)...
Agree with the above, likely caused the surface to glaze causing the fade. Cant remember the bedding in distance to do before abusing them if anybody cares to add :P
The top half of the grill should be held in place by two "pop clips" on each corner, they are black thread less screws which push into a housing, not sure what there correct name is but im sure if they are missing you will see the two holes left by them :P
When i got them they had 195/45/R16's on them (Aparently for track use) but i use 205/45/R16's on them on at the moment, and i used an online calculator and found the radius had dropped slightly knocking my speedo my 0.05%. Other than the rubbing on one side and a slighly pecamistic MPG reading...
They should be fine, i have them on my 1.4 and they are ok bar the passanger rear corner. That side will rub if you corner fast enough, havn't had any signs of rubbing on any other wheel :P
It's a little plastic key (T shaped) with 3 small straight prongs at each point of a triangle, you could probably go to the scrap yard and take it out the emergency repir kit in the boot :P
