Can't comment on insurance company, when I had mine changed earlier this year (on trade policy so no cover for screen) I only paid £110 fitted, admittedly only a basic screen that doesn't have the central bracket for light/rain sensor but even so for the little extra I'd shop around and see what...
I'd have to agree with @MarkX there, I've been building mine bit by bit and enjoying it on track at regular intervals and it's great. Spec wise my cage is a 9 point bolt in now, has the extra b pillar mounts and a tunnel brace, ordered it from one of Mark Fish's group buys and fitted by a local...
Full SD bolt in for me too, ran on road for a few months until mot expired, now track only. I found it fine buy the mrs wasn't so keen, although she loves going out on track with it?!
Photos are from when we fitted it
If your car didn't have front fogs from the factory then I'd imagine the uch isn't programmed to have front fogs, this isn't to say they can't be installed but would mean you'd have to wire in a new switch/relay etc etc to get them working and obviously wouldn't look oem
I see your predicament now @David Garthwaite, in an ideal world harnesses are mounted to the roll cage, this is so that there's no nasty angles on the harness itself, the sharper the angle the harness sits at the more potential there is for injury in an accident with damage/distortion to the...
From my experience of an engine swap I'd say it's the wrong breather plate for the car, and the pipe has been 'blocked off' so as not to create an air leak. Assuming it's running fine I wouldn't worry too much
No ideas on internals or wiring etc etc but I believe the 770/771's produce less hp (136 from what I've read), if it wasn't 3am I'd fire up auto data and have a look for you
They are indeed 13mm and yeah you'll need a deep socket. They are just a straight swap over, make sure you disconnect the battery before unplugging anything airbag wise. The airbag system is 'self cancelling' in the fact that the warning light will clear unless a fault is recognised as being...
It's in russian admittedly but that part number does appear to match up, if you look closely then you can see part no 18 is highlighted and looks to me to be the nsr line in question with the same part number up in the top left hand corner
If you have the anti rattle shims in the caliper carriers then these will need removing and it's the little tabs that then sit in the carrier that need just a touch of filing, pretty much just taking the paint off to allow them to move still when hot, you're looking for around 1mm movement uo...
For peace of mind I'd replace with a new kit rather than just a belt, as above the recommended interval is 36,000 mile or 5 years, whichever comes first.
Whilst it may well be fine and carry on for some time there's always that chance of it failing and destroying the engine as some unlucky...
There is a way yes, you'll need something such as this from eBay 261354984053, have a look. I'm not saying it's this exact one but it gives you an idea as to what you're looking for

They are indeed and bolt straight on with no issues, I've not researched whether the laguna is the same but I'd be very surprised if it wasn't, I'm currently using a kangoo one so I know they work, as I said before though make sure it's not off a dci as they are different
Can't help with part numbers until this afternoon but alternator wise you will need a different one.
The cups ran a 75 amp alternator rather than the standard 110 found on most sports, you can use a 75 amp alternator from the 1.9d diesel range of clio/megane/kangoo but it has to be from 98-01...
@optical I certainly will be, that's partly the reason why I stopped where I did earlier, well that and work phoning me and asking me if I'd come in on my day off tomorrow (with a 3.30 am start for good measure :anguished:)
Bit of an update, after a very short 3 hour morning at work I decided to dodge the showera and crack on with getting these fitted. With a very minor touch of fettling everything is mocked up and in place, ended up cleaning off the paint from the inside edge of the towers to allow the top mounts...
not all 1*2 lower inlet are stamped RS, the RS ones are supposed to flow a little easier. I'd say the majority of 1*2 inlets aren't stamped up. No idea if they are the same as other F4R engines though I'm afraid
