I have a similar problem with this plug. I'm pretty sure when I had the seat out I may have broke it. Can the wires be joined by using spade connectors? Or is there something inside the plug that's crucial?
if I got another plug and swooped them over would that work?
sorry for the slight hijack
Got my cage from here http://www.alachi57.com/1.html guy called Alan. There's been multile threads about his cages, he can make them out of cds tube if requested iirc. I paid £200 for a bolt in rear half, double diagonal and harness bars.
You will hear a little extra noise from the grooves. The brembo max ones aren't too bad, I had some tarox grooved discs that sounded like a washing machine.
I wouldn't worry too much
I had this issue about this time last year, i changed plugs, cleaned sensors and tb. Then replaced coil pack and that cured it (for my car anyway).
Think the coil pack was reasonably cheap at euro car parts and comes with a garuntee too
Everything in my bay is either matt black or black wrinkle finish, apart from the aluminium induction bend.
is painting this black likely to create a little too much heat soak, or will it be ok?
I stripped the rear of my car, where are the plugs that the resistors need to be pushed into?
I can seem to find them, took rear seats and belts out a couple month ago and cant remember unplugging any plugs from them
Just want to know where theyll likely be in the car
Cheers guys. Cage has been supplied with spreader plates and all bolts, will check fia/msa for tensile strengths of bolts. Can always get them from work.
Guessing it takes longer to manoeuvre it in than it does to remove seats etc
Will be fitting my bolt-in cage next soon. Just after some advice/tips on the best way to do it
I'm already anticipating it being a right pita to get in
Thanks
Have to remember its a weekend, like the rest of us he might have a couple of days off. I recently did mine, something went wrong and my ecu info was all 0000's. I emailed Henk and he was extremely helpful, his replies were slower over the weekend. Just have a bit of patience with it, it's a 30...
Inner ring in Derby are spot on. ETS always moan the cars too low and complain they can't get the laser boards on properly, turned me away last time when I was having tyres fitted to spare wheels. Took mine to inner ring when I fitted coil overs and been back twice
Thanks, I've had two bends turn up from ASH/ap store and so far both have been wrong (wrong item sent), the link you posted looks like a 150mm leg length, only option available on the ASH website.
My middle exhaust mount gave way today. Working away from home at the moment so no tools/jack/axle stands etc, went to a local garage who have said they can't get a part till Wednesday. I'm home middle of Friday
Question is - will the exhaust be alright till Friday with no middle hanger? I'm...
