What about some sticky backed velcro to hold it in place/down? if you came to remove it bit of hot water would get it off (the sticky velcro) with out damaging the paint
Re: Iceberg 172 Cup Project
Similar thing happened to my key, turned out to be the little copper coil inside the key that had broke - but that was only one key, and had to press the lock button inside, then lock via drivers door. When a guy came out he reprogrammed (and bodged) the key, when I...
I had a hole in my cat, it can easily be welded if that's the case. Local garage/exhausat place will do it for you if you slip 'em some beer tokens
Failing that go to an exhausat place and they will check exhaust for free and tell you the problem
Recently had a new centre section fitted, the garage that fitted it said the the clamp that joins centre section>back box was a 'special' clamp and couldn't get a new one without a new back box/rear section
So i said 'try use the old one first', they did but still blows a little. So i jusmped...
Battery test might be in order then, halfords on me lunch break. Its being lazy when starting too first thing in a morning, its this cold yorkshire weather, killed the battery on my old car!
It is really annoying, and as you say has only started since its had a few cold icey mornings. theres a place called justclio's in Bradford, might pop in see if theyve got a clue
just lately, on startuo (usually first of the day/if been left a while) the needles go down lower than resting position, shake a little, and then rise to the level where they should be
Any reason for them doing this? Could it be cold/battery related?
Recently on start up I get a scratching/tickining/clicking sort of noise. Sounds as if it's coming form behind the speedo dial.
Any ideas what it is/could be?
After GSF gave me the wrong pump, which they assured me was the "correct" one....it wasn't. I've bought one off ebay, its listed as '05 model. But am i right in thinking that even though its for an '05 clio sport, itll be alright for an '02 clio sport. (hope so lol)
also which side (as you look...
good thinking. imo itll do the same job as having 4/5 holes in the bumper, will provide the effect youre after.
Could always make a CAD model and load it into fluent/gambit (man i miss free time at uni)
it made the noise today, for about 1-2seconds, have a vid so will try get it uploaded.
oil is 5w 40 as the previous owner changed it regularly. oil will be getting changed soon anyway as i have just got some ready for when i next get a weekend & time
will try the screw driver trick too!
hasn't made the noise for the past few days, iv'e been trying to get a video
i rang a family friend at the garage where the car went for belts to be done and he said may be the above suggestions or the starter motor sticking (might need a squirt of wd40) - whats the chances that it is a sticky...
thats true, but within the first few seconds of the car being started first thing in a morning it would still be noticeable. im baffled as the car isnt driving poorly or seem affected by the noise
could it be something to do with the starter motor? maybe sticking or firing more than it should be?
yeah oil level is fine too
its i quite a loud noise, louder than a ticking but i wouldnt say it was a 'knocking' noise though
definately outside and 'bay related but unsure what i could be? will have to try get a video tomorrow or something
no, its definatley outside the cabin. radio/cd player was off (thats got the ticking noise, but nowhere near as loud as whats coming on start up)
sounds as if the noise in the 'bay
had a quick search but couldn't come across what i was looking for.
in a morning (or afternoon, first start up of the day either way) theres a loud ticking that lasts about 5secs or so, and then stops. it is only on the first start up though.
it did it today and i counted 5secs, turned car off...
