    172 ph2 (2001) - Electric windows - fuse / relay location?

Hopefully you managed to sort this already but fuse/s are behind panel on passenger side end of dash, another common problem (at least it seems to be common to me at) is temperamental window switches, which caused me all sorts of problems with the Mrs dci

    Tyres wearing fast!!!

With reference too comparing your tyres now against your mx5, tyre wear will be different due to the fact that one's fromt wheel drive and ones rear, you should see longer life om the mx5 due to the fact that the fronts are only steering whereas on the clio they're doing both steering and traction

    Issue with brakes

Which one was it? I'm guessing its on the rear

    Issue with brakes

The whole servo/master cylinder assembly bolts into the bulkhead under the steering column, there's some sound deadening as well to move but it should be obvious if it is leaking

    Issue with brakes

That's one way of looking at it, are there any obvious signs of leaking already?? Might be worth lifting the carpet under the pedals and have a look there too

    Swift 1.5 Bleed Nipples help.

I'd imagine George@RTR_parts would be the guy to help you with bleed nipples, would be worth soaking the remaining nipples with some wd40 or similar before trying to undo

    Issue with brakes

Knew i was missing someone, as for master cylinder, normally either leaking fluid or constantly having air in brake lines

    Issue with brakes

That the ones that go into the rear calipers? probably Renault only, the fronts and the ones for rear axle are available from most parts suppliers

    Issue with brakes

The servo uses a vacuum to assist braking effort, which it receives from the engine, with no engine running there's no assistance. So yes if you try the brakes with engine off then your not using the servo unit, if the pedal is still going to the floor then your problem lies elsewhere

    Issue with brakes

Personally I'd be bleeding the brake fluid first, and see where things go from there, from my experiences a failing servo will make the pedal harder to press rather than softer (have you ever been towed without engine running and felt how the brakes changes without servo assist) I may be wrong...

    Bolt in Roll cage

I've just ordered one of the above, have to say bith Mark and Graham at Mark Fish Motorsport were brilliant to deal with, if you're after one now there is a group buy going on, but I think you need to be a paid member to get involved, although the saving on the cage itself is worth much much...

172 cup key and central locking problem

You can change the blade part of the key and physical locks/ignition barrel, the blip part of the key is tied into the uch/ecu, again these can be swapped as a complete set as long as all the part numbers match or as said above buy a new key and have it re programmed to match the uch

    Rear axle problem??

This may be a little far fetched, but IF and i mean if the roll bar in the axle had broken or become detached somehow on one side (purely speculation at this point) would that cause one side to drop or raise?? I'm struggling to find anything else that could cause the axle to be uneven

Clio 182 Coolant hoses that bypass the heater matrix

No no just a 172, it's not bad, certainly quicker off the mark than some of the other cars I've had, and makes the v8 4x4 I have look quite ordinary

Clio 182 Coolant hoses that bypass the heater matrix

I found that with the glue on the roof and om the rear 1/4 panels it was easier to gently heat and peel away with scraper/fingers rather than use some sort of cleaner, the ones I used seem to turn the glue into a gel and make things worse, I guess when you start to add all the weight up then...

Clio 182 Coolant hoses that bypass the heater matrix

I haven't done the bulkhead yet, but all the others are off, including the one on the roof, I wouldn't say it was a bad idea but then mine is track only, and I don't mind all the noise

    Rear axle problem??

I will at some point be going full adjustable, although for next year my budget will probably mean staying in production class of tricolore and then progress from there Doesn't appear to be any damage and I've certainly not given it a 'whack' myself, nothing appears out of line and it drives...

    Rear axle problem??

Yes, I've even put in two sets that I know are identical, swapping the shocks side to side did make a small difference but it was the difference in the angles of the spring plates on the axle that got my attention

    Rear axle problem??

To cut a long story short I'm in the process of converting the 172 into full on race car ready for 2016 I noticed over thelast couple of weeks that the rear suspension looked uneven, i assumed it was a broken spring and didn't worry too much as had new eibachs going in anyway, cut to the chase...

Clio 182 Coolant hoses that bypass the heater matrix

If I remember rightly the front ones are held down with some plastic nuts on studs in the bulkhead/firewall, all the rears are glued and as you said just heat them up and scrape off, I found a hairdryer was enough to warm up the glue, it is a messy job though and normally ends up with a lot of...

**** PLEASE READ - Aftermarket Wheel Airbag Resistor Info ****

If your airbag light comes on and stays in then its a fail, if the light doesn't come on at all then its an advisory on the mot, this only applies to airbag system though and not all warning lights. No reason why you can't keep aftermarket wheel on, just keep in mind what I've written above

Steering Column Lock removal and Central Locking

I'm itching to get out so at the moment it's balancing things between what I'd like to do and what I need to do to be ready, and then I can work around things when I'm ready

Steering Column Lock removal and Central Locking

For now I'm keeping things standard, hopefully will be out in production/production plus class of the tricolore series, at the moment it was a case of ticking off boxes on my ever growing list of jobs to be done lol, eventually will be switch/button system
