BIGASH/FF-Racing X85 Clio Cup Racer Project

Yeah I meant track width which gives you the camber without the need for the wheel to move on a different plane to the shock absorber. I.e camber bolts. looks nice it does, are the hub and RCA pin of dissimilar metals, could you weld them together if needed.

    Clio Cup Racer Brake Ducts...fitted

Its hard to leave the hose flexible enough to move with the steering without the tyre pinching it against the chassis leg.

    Spigot rings

^^lol If you want to do it right, by a new one from Team dynamics and have it copied in some metal.....But haven't you just bought brand new 1.2's, they can supply 60.1mm spigot wheels if you deal with team dynamics or their uk sales agent www.wheelbasealloys.com iirc.

    Clio Cup Racer Brake Ducts...fitted

The cup racers used to run ducting cable tied onto the deflector plate for more direct air when the wheels are turned Tony, the originals need some finessing for clearing the chassis leg as well Chris's fit on james bumper was nice, but you chopped out too much no? Or didn't they slide in?

    New RenaultSport models. *NWS*

Lol its just an observation, wouldn't stop none of us jumping on her or the other 3 for that matter BUT " them some big f**king hands" spoken in a Martin Lawrence voice.

BIGASH/FF-Racing X85 Clio Cup Racer Project

Looks very nice lads, did you opt to increase the camber a little with the kit? No modifications needed for steering arms either?

Lawro's Super Clean Titanium 182 - Progress Thread

Stunning condition mate, needs Renault centre caps to make it look standard though. I love doing this to my cars I plan to keep, you know everything is as it should be but it don't get much time for this now unfortunately.

    Oil on cam cover

Dephaser solenoid oil seal, breather plate gasket (the part you speak of), between the cylinder head and cam cover inside the spark plug holes, the egg shaped gasket between the intake plenum and breather plate if the car is breathing heavily. Remove plenum, access, clean, run again and then...

    Hello & Track or not.

Those tracks would see looooong periods of time on the throttle, I would think that's part of the reason for engine failure. More suited to bigger engined/higher speed cars.

Impressive Pete, over 3000 a year. Need to do similar myself tbh.

    Fully spec'd 200 Vs turbo'd Trophy

Definitely something different, can't beat an an immaculate car but my OCD comes out in my experience you are scared to use them incase they get chipped, dirty, break. Enjoy, keen to here your box plans if they're anything different to the VW, megane or 197 route.

Yeah first looks like bottom of graham hill where I thought you would get air. Donnington the same, get the power on before the corner or well before exit for a run down the straight. I understand your reasoning totally, my points in here are purely what's best, not what's cheaper to buy...

    LSD - talk to me

I'm not referencing google to argue my point, maybe on the gear wear problem I might have, I have been around ATB's you know. And just for balance, you try to belittle with your last comments of a 'debate' frequently, please don't try and make it sound like I was speaking rubbish, 2 guys who...

Mines is a grower not a show'r. Quaifes for cruising, Grippers for thrashing, that's a fair anology. Edit: re wobbler quote which I'm guessing is at me, its called having an educated opinion and not needing to rely on someone else to tell me who, what, where or why. If I have an an opinion on...

    Custom Cages Roll cage.

I keep harping on bout the Oreca but I genuinely struck lucky with it after very little reviews I could find on it. The most comprehesive cage I could find for the money and it only weighs in at 38kg for a CDS cage. They have went up a little at k-Tec BUT they are only a supplier ;)...

    Custom Cages Roll cage.

I don't know how much that cage is but my Oreca was nearly £600 and had not one profile wrong, really impressed as I was expecting to be pants for price and amount of tubes.

Is that Donnington Tony? The 2nd tier of that kerb looks sore. You would be going some left foot braking at the type of corner (tight mid speed) you typically lift a wheel, a sequential box you might manage but it's just not a feasible option afaic. I would think the diff will not function...

Standard crownwheel can be used anyway iirc so that comparison is fairer.

    LSD - talk to me

So the gripper is cheaper at retail prices (can be found cheaper) against your reduced price for a Quaife that you can source. Gripper don't have to rebuild the box FYI, anyone can. My box was maybe strong money but it was cheaper than any that was for sale at the time (haven't looked since as...

A locked diffs a locked diff Chip, ramp angles only determine how quickly it snatches and the preload how well it holds together. My argument wasn't cost in any way shape or form for ref as it keeps getting mentioned, I was just looking for the best. Morris box oil isn't that expensive anyway...
  23. M

    LSD - talk to me

How much are the people getting Quaife's for then? With the crown wheel fitted but no fitment to the actual box. I bought my box 2nd hand for £1500 which seems more than any 2nd hand Quaife box that I have seen on here? .
  24. M

    LSD - talk to me

Quaife don't offer a different FD as its not a motorsport part IMO. Plated diffs do push you wide as it removes the differential in wheel speeds, just change the driving style needed, still quicker with that trait.
  25. M

    LSD - talk to me

Sounds like you want a Quaife or its better suited to what you will do with the car then. If you can get a Quaife for £500 less all costs considered inc postage with both boxes being rebuilt then I would bite his hand off. My point was missed by you Chip in the sense that more powerful cars...

    LSD - talk to me

What I meant in relation to the rest of that post is that they are constantly sending power to one shaft or another, never two at the same point, its a constant switch over between left and right. I haven't heard of a failure that wasn't caused by something external either but I have heard of...

    LSD - talk to me

You keep quoting I'm saying that they are ONLY one wheel drive? At no point did I actually say that they weren't an improvement (did I?) on standard or even implied it, I said they act the same as an open diff at times, not just when a wheel leaves the ground. They are constantly switching...

    LSD - talk to me

Just re read this and lol. Things that stuck out were a wheel off the ground is 'peculiar' or I 'supposedly' lift wheels at Knockhill (just lying to make friends) Remember folks, Chip says a Quaife is 99.9% as good as a Plated diff hence why everyone runs them in Motorsport, no wait.....they...
