It's a stunner for sure. A mate dropped by yesterday in his competition pack spec M4; dark grey with a lot of CF touches - even nicer !
We have some serious metal heading our way over the next couple of months including a trashed Aston Vantage - that'll mean some late nights.
Been helping out at Clean & Shiny with a brand new M4. Full gtechniq coating inside and out including CS Light and Exo to paint, c5 to wheels and g1/2 to glass, l1/i1/c6 to interior.
Came up rather nicely.
From Hook down the A30 to Oliver's crossroads (chippy) and turn left, over the M3. All the way to the bottom and turn right. Follow that for a couple of miles and you'll hit the A339. You can either turn right and back into town or left and immediately right and through Cliddesden and down...
Inferno 182 by Costco this morning.
Blue 172 cup Costco this evening headinF towards the tip.
Arctic blue 182 by BMW. Followed you down the M3 south (because it's my way home not because I'm a weirdo)
Should have dragged mine out in the sunshine!
Not much done recently - just enjoying the car.
The rear axle and suspension was bugging me as it was rusty and scruffy. Nobody sees it but that isn't the point lol.
Quick wire brush, degrease and black satin Hammerite sorted it.
The wife's Megane has CS Light and about 3 coats of Exo. Was easy to apply and makes maintenance a piece of cake. Full wash and dry in under an hour easily. I use C2 as a monthly top-up and keeps the paint super slick.
Fatty kit fitted. Genuinely no idea whether this adds or loses any bhp's but I don't care. It sounds bloody lovely.
Lots of cleaning to be done to tidy up that area previously hidden under the airbox.
Calipers and hubs painted and all bumper screws replaced with new. Have the wheels their 4th coat of Exo too - only mint paint on the car so they're getting protected lol.
Had expert help too so all torqued up properly etc ;)
Fatty kit next once elbow pipe arrives.
Gear change feels sharper and less sloppy. Bit more cabin vibration at idle but nothing I can't live with.
I need a quick shift I think to properly get the best from it.
Few small updates today. Oil and filter change , powerflex dog bone mount fitted and expression mats, um, installed lol.
Quick bath to get rid of the FCS trip bug splatter.
Next is painting calipers and hubs.
Looks too damned good in white. Might have to ask you to have a look at some paint on mine at some point (and a big fooking dent on my daily) if you're able to?
I saw the White 172 today as I had to pop to the bodyshop next door. What a nice, nice motor :)
Shame the bodyshop bent me over without Vaseline but that's another story.
