Fed up with my 172 being broken

What's the immobiliser light doing? Have you tried a different crank sensor?

Fed up with my 172 being broken

The only thing I've ever been able to put it down to is that when the starter motor is cranked there then isn't enough power for the ECU/Injectors/Spark plugs or something like that. Especially because if testing the battery at this stage it'll usually read 12v still

Fed up with my 172 being broken

It's a mystery to me but I've had the problem and countless others have. I used to have a 172 that would not start for some reason, then after 20 tries was fine. Changed battery and has been fine now for 3 years as I know the current owner well.

Buy from RPD then for £10 more, makes sense? Rears from eBay will more than likely be generic all model ones rather than a sport one.

Why do you need to buy new sport ones? Just buy new cup ones for £70, they're the same price, may aswell get it done now if your doing it, eliminates the problem. Yes, was the first issue I had 8-9 years ago.

    Car all over the road....unstable

Come on Tony, we've both been here long enough to know that most CS users after 2010 don't listen to any kind of advice, and usually do the opposite spending even more money. Two rear shocks are less than £70 and take all of ten minutes to fit.

    Car all over the road....unstable

I had the same once with brand new shocks, in fairness though they were both leaking within a week of fitting and could physically see that. The amount of issues the rear shocks causes is unbelievable because of it being such a light back end. All you need to do is look at all the comments in...

So true, I had completely standard brakes including Renault pads on my 250bhp one and that was taken around the Nurburgring and driven harder around the roads. No fade, no smoke

    Front speaker wattage question

No really as if standard unit you'll then need to splice a lone level converter in so the sound won't be as good. Don't forget it's about quality more than power too

You can have a shock which leaks or you can have a shock that's seized. I've had leaky shocks in the past, I was just merely pointing out that they don't need to be leaking to be knackered.

    Car all over the road....unstable

When the rear shocks are knackered there are no real visual signs, unless somebody is following you and then the rear wheels bounce around like nobodies business causing it to skip. I think a track day is the worst thing you can do if you have issues with its skipping and turning on its own...
