A bloke at work has hired it out for the day.
I'm guessing it will be the full sprint track, although either way for under £50 I'm not gonna complain, should have plenty of track time in the day and it's only 30 mins from my house.
thanks for the help :)
I say new tyres, they have done 1k miles so not brand new.
Burp, I know it is only a short low speed track, but for a beginner it's perfect. Quiet, open, plenty of time to play and dirt cheap.
Good thread!
I've got my first trackday booked at Curborough Sprint Track, only £47.50!
Gonna take a spare wheel, tools, jack, axle stands etc, compressor, tyre pressure guage and a few bits and bobs, but all will be taken out for when i'm on track.
Mods to the car are stripped, H&R's...
^ why is that bad?
Wouldn't have got my order and payment until Tues morning when he started work, sent out asap and got to me by weds morning, seems good to me, especially as delivery was only a tenner.
Buy them from Ebay too mate, I got 4 delivered for £136.
That was ordering in the evening on a monday, and they were delivered on Weds morning!

I have just got a full set of Yokos on my 15's.
In the dry they are phenomenal, tons of grip and squeel nicely when you pish it a bit far :D
In the wet they are ok provided you dont thrash the steering about too much, quick sharp turns loose them, but if you turn in fairly gently they do...
I know they do nothing, got it purely for looks as it was cheap, as the rear of the car is stripped out.
Put the grease on the underside of the rubber?
Fitted my rear strut brace last night, at first it was spot on, but then after a while it has started squeaking/tapping :S
I've checked numerous times that it's all tight etc, but it kept doing it.
I've just taken it off and all is good, no noise or anything. So is there any way to stop this...
Want to get a bucket seat and 4 point harnesses in my car asap, but just thinking about where I would mount the harnesses to the left and right hand side of the seat?
I was thinking brace one underneath the standard subframe of the passenger seat, and the other to the right of the seat where...
I used to average about 29mpg, stripped about 30-40kgs out of the rear, put some lightweight 15's wheels on it, and it is getting a lot more hammer now due to more noise and I'm getting 32mpg!
Thanks Henry, part numbers would be awesome if it isn't too much trouble. From a quick peek earlier the bolts didnt look too bad, I'll get it up on my axle standas this week and have a look, might try cracking them off just to see!
Not sure if i'm being stupid, but what gasket would I ask for at a motor factors? I know they all ome in different shapes/sizes etc, so just a 182 cat gasket set?
Sorry if the answer is blindingly obvious but I'm confused!
Kayzee, not sure without looking at the papers, previous owner had it done before I picked the car up, if you pm me tomorrow I'll dig it out and have a look, somewhere near Mansfield though as thats where i bought the car.
Is it as simple as I think it will be?!
I take it I need no special tools, just my socket set and some brute force, or do I need to replace anything?
Going to fit a decat to my standard 182 system.
So far to my car I have removed:
Rear seats
Boot carpet
Rear carpets
Isofix bar and cover
Rear 3 seatbelts
Some random plastic bits.
Was just wondering, will it be worth removing the rear door cards and parcel shelf supports? From playing with them today to remove the seatbelts they don't...
I have 17mm bolts in mine, longer as I'm running spacers.
But can buy loads of different types that will fit over 19mm ones, just used those as an example.
I've literally just bought these:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=110298045464&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=001
Can spray them whatever colour you like and just slip them over the bolt, no need to get damaged etc.
Also, if you manage to sort out some centre caps can...
OK mate cheers.
I've tried calling up quite a few times in the last month for other reasons to get no answer, left a few answerphone messages with no reply and also emailed with no reply, so if I'm honest I'm reluctant to send any money his way!
Since my car is pretty low, the Cat scrapes most of the time!
Now I could lift it up, but I'm also on the search for a little more noise, so thinking a decat may be the way forward?
I saw in the for sale thread that the Milltek one won't fit a standard exhaust? So Do any of them fit?
Not for my car?
36k and Aux belt (all stated on the receipt I have) including fully synthetic oil, was either £350 or £450.
I would get it done at 36k, for the sake of a few hundred quid why risk it. And a few hundred isn't pocket change, but you know these cars are costly to run, it's part...
Only joking mate, just take it easy as said and it will come with practice. Think I did 7 cars when I had it and it soon gets easier, noticed a big improvement in skills after the first 2/3.
