    21-182 Pic Wh*rage

Looks nice mate, why not just call it a 182 though, i understand about the wheels etc, but a bit geeky!

    New wheels :D

^ The standard offset is ET45, the offset is the measurement from the centre of the wheel to the mounting face of the wheel - the lower the offset to more the wheel sticks out of the arches basically. They are ET53, with 6mm spacers, so a few mm further in than the standard wheels, but because...

    New wheels :D

Anyone got any thoughts on maybe gloss black?

    New wheels :D

gonna experiment a bit with colours, but i like how it looks. perfect for the car as I will be getting on track as much as possible when I finally get my payrise. feels miles better to drive! the fact that 4 tyres were only £126 was persuasive enough for me to be honest!!

    New wheels :D

The spec 2 mate, yet to comment on the wet but around islands it just sticks! The offset is ET53, running 6mm spacers to get back the the standard offset, but because they are smaller wheels it exaggerates it a lot, so next up are some slightly bigger spacers. Parky - thought about that...

LIGHT WEIGHT WHEELS = LIGHTER STEERING?

Just saved 20kgs overall from swapping my standard 182 wheels for some 15's, they weight in at about 18-19kgs each. Mine feels a lot better to drive, less tramlining on 195 wide tyres, better turn in and response, love it :D

    New wheels :D

Thanks Matt :) They are lightweight Enkeis (the same as used on Evo 7's I think?) Nah on Yoko Paradas, which are stupidly sticky, miles better than PE2's, although they have only been on 24 hours and it hasn't rained yet!!

    New wheels :D

Before: After: I wimped out of a mad colour to begin with, tyres came a few days before i expected them to so in a mad rush I decided on matt black, which i now love!! Need some bigger spacers and possibly some mad coloured calipers, but looks good to me! 20kg saving overall from...

    Tyre pressures in 195/50/15's on a 182

Mmmmm, DC5! I want one badly! Seem to be getting more common up here, saw 3 white ones today alone, one was modified a bit, lowered, nice exhaust, some gold wheels, light tints, looked amazing! Definately a car I want to own at some point!

    Tyre pressures in 195/50/15's on a 182

Nice one! Mine is going a bit that way, hopefully by the end it will be semi stripped, drivers bucket seat, along with the H&R's and 15's I have. Got anything in mind?

    Tyre pressures in 195/50/15's on a 182

Yeah just got my 15's on the car today with a rushed bodge respray! Feels better to drive, although I'm still scrubbing the tyres in so nowhere near pushed it yet! Love the car, just doing some bits and bobs to it before taking it on track for some fun! Yours?

    Tyre pressures in 195/50/15's on a 182

What tyre pressures should I run on the road? Currently got 30 in the back and 33 up front, but the tyres seem pretty squashed when still, and a bit wallowy when driving? Any advice?

    market for 1.2s...

Got the aux belt changed, was 3 years old, and got the 32k service done on it too. I think the mileage was right, can't remember! Yeah the damage made me think people wouldn't offer much, must have had 100 calls in a week but sold it the night after I advertised it to the first viewer! To be...

    market for 1.2s...

I sold my black 1.2 dynamique, 28k miles, was an 04 plate, just had a service and aux belt, FSH, loads of tax and test etc. Was mint apart from a scuff on the bumper and a small dent in the door. I sold it 6 months ish ago for £3700, and by all of the calls etc that I got for it I priced it...

    My Mk3 Progress Thread

I fricking love that mate, looks a very well cared for car! They Weitecs on it? Had them on my Lupo, very impressed with them! You not get any catching in the wheel arches at that low? Only question I have if the above is a 'no' ; why the hell was the car so high in the first place?! ;)

    195 45 15 on lowered 182?

Didn't really consider these too much, even said I wouldn't buy the in another thread!! But would they be reccomended? Will they be better to drive with compared with 195 50's? I know they'll help me to go lower, but I want my car to be all about handling really, bearing in mind the roads I...

New handbrake cable? Or only adjustment?

Hmm, I'm gonna get birchdown to fit me some braided hoses, and also bleed the brakes i think, i'm guessing i may aswell get it all done at the same time then it should all be sorted.

New handbrake cable? Or only adjustment?

Cheers mate, will an adjustment do it or is a new cable the best way to go? Had my 1.2 adjusted once but withing a few days iut had mega travel again on the the handbrake lever...

New handbrake cable? Or only adjustment?

My handbrake is pretty rubbish, so wondering if I need new cables fitting, or if it just needs adjustment? Car has done 36k miles. Also, anyone know how much new cables are? And roughly how much fitting would be?

My 182 pics, a bit of strippage

Form over function ladies. And as said, if I don't like the look with red wheels, I can always try green, orange, blue and pink before I go to the normal black or anthracite.
  26. Pep

My 182 pics, a bit of strippage

Lol, cheers! Well the red will just be an experiment to be honest, won't be hard for me to spray them back a 'normal' colour if it doesnt suit. I want the 15's for track work and cheaper tyres, so 100% going on! Plus it needs to go lower, which will help with the 15's :D
  27. Pep

My 182 pics, a bit of strippage

Standard wheel is roughly 18kg with tyre. Tyre weighs in at about 6kg, making the wheel roughly 12kgs. New wheels are about 6kgs each, then 5kg for a smaller tyre makes that about 6kg saving per wheel.
  28. Pep

My 182 pics, a bit of strippage

Stripped the interior of the 182 out today getting ready for a big load of wheels and tyres to be done next week. Weighed everything taken out, was 30kgs of stuff, then the wheels should save me a further 25kgs once they are on, the H&Rs work out to about 5kgs saved too i think. Then when I...
