Re: A few new additions to Trophy 147/500 - RS2 Fitted
I know how you feel mate - when you get into those 5 figure amounts. I wonder quite a lot whether I'd be happier if I'd put the money into an Evo or a DC2 or something other than the clio
But trust me - when I waved at you on Saturday I...

Hahah I'm sure it's just teething problems mate - having so much done all in one go. Just keep thinking about that race where you turn up and it runs sweet and nothing goes wrong - bliss :D
There's a knack with those K-Tec stealths mate
If you loosen the backbox from the mid pipe and turn it you change the height of the bend - a combination of doing that and moving it up and down will get it level and quite high up without hitting the beam or the heat shield
Bit of a pain :(
Re: A few new additions to Trophy 147/500 - RS2 Fitted
It's weird that he still says it drives fine - In my experience with results like that you'd notice a bit of lumpiness wouldn't you?
Re: A few new additions to Trophy 147/500 - RS2 Fitted
Honestly - so many f*cking morons on this forum. Why does everyone think a de-cat is the answer to everything? It's b****cks
I've got a 200cell cat on my ITB'd clio and TRUST ME it doesn't restrict the power - the thing goes like a scolded...

Glad you got some time out with it this time - you really don't have much luck do you?
I've done track days for 2 years with the clio without a single fault - I must be really lucky
Hope it's all behind you...
Re: A few new additions to Trophy 147/500 - RS2 Fitted
Oh no :(
I saw him the other day in Lincoln - I was out giving the cup a thrash
Hope it's nothing major :(
WD40 - lots of it
I sprayed it all over the insides so they were properly soaking in the stuff
Front ones were worst on mine they came half out and started seizing up - luckily that was enough to tilt the back down to swap the manifold which is all I wanted to do
Back ones I soaked in WD40...
Number 1 for me - well lit, well laid out. Lovely photo
I really wanted to get in on this but "splash" photos done properly are a lot of setup work and it's been a hugely busy month :(
I promise I'll have a crack at Aprils
^^ There ya go - Jon_R you could get some stencils made and then we could post them off to someone
If the carbon fibre person is near'ish me I don't mind them using my car for a day to make some up and trial fit
I wonder if anyone has a set of streamline or performance-trim ones from before they went bankrupt that they could donate for a template
I'm sure I could find a carbon fibre company willing to cut us some out - and it sounds like we could get a bit of a group buy going
Yep that would be my opinion too
You get noise from the auto focus unless you run an external mic - only some of the dslr's have the ext. mic port
Then the cost of the mic, quality glass, a decent rig to stabilize
I've done some video with the 7D at motorsport but it's less than impressive
I'd...
Is there anyone selling Carbon Door cards and rear cards for the clio at the moment (other than streamline that want £400 for 4 flat bits of carbon LOL)?
There was another company doing them but they seem to have vanished
I was going to keep my 50D as an action camera and get a 5D MK II - but the AF of the 7D sold me
The shots I take track side now are 99% keepers - the AF system on the 7D is mind blowingly good
Oh god yeah I forgot the 50D was magnesium bodied - then in the 60D they went back to plastic
It's such a s**t move from Canon. It's barely any better than the 550D.
The 50D was such a superb camera - I'd have a 2nd hand one any day.
I got the 7D after my 50D because the 60D felt like a massive...
The 60D takes faster shots, its weather sealed, heavier, bigger and metal - but personally I hate it. It has a flip out screen and I just don't like it
It's predecessor the 50D was a fantastic action/sports camera
For just a general hobby camera get the 550 or 600 - there's no difference in IQ...
I had kenlowe recommended to me - but I think the equivalent 12" (sorry 30cm for you kids lol) was about £85
Pacet ones are even more!
I decided to just turn the engine off if I get stuck in traffic lol
