I started thinking today back over the last year at what's been done - thought I'd do an up-to-date spec sheet (as I was writing one out for my insurance anyway)
Engine / Gearbox
Jenvey ITB's with 90mm trumpets
Reverie carbon deep backing plate
Pipercross C604D sausage filter
Omex 600 ecu with...
I wouldn't bother with the top mounts then lol - the understeer will mostly be from the full interior
Too much weight over the rear and too much weight pushing you into the corners
Get the back seats out on the next day you do - it's only one bolt and they unclip and you can leave them in the...
Oh yeah forgot my tyre pressures were on uniroyal rainsports PMSL I have to run them a bit lower just to get grip - I do find it helps running the rears a couple of psi harder than the fronts though if you're wanting a bit of LOOS
30 hot is a bit high for track use - try 26 on the front and 28/30 on the rear
Also what's left in the car - is it stripped?
Mines running the rear ARB on stiffest, I'm on 205/50/15's running 26/28 when hot and to be honest the understeer has nearly completely gone
Last time I was at anglesey...
Totally disagree - watch the burpspeed vids or any of mine. I rarely drop below 5k at brands or rockingham. I can't see me getting below 5k ever on Donington either.
Maybe at Anglesey on the hairpin - I was getting killed by my mates mx5 coming out the hairpin because the clio just had no low...
A big long smooth torque curve looks nice - but how does it help on a track car when you never drop below 5k?
Personally I'm happier with this
Loads more torque/power above 5k. As for below it - well who cares if you're driving around at 3 or 4k then you're not really going fast anyway lol
I'd recommend against the 24-70 f2.8L - it's a FANTASTIC lens on a full frame - but it's a bit of a weird range on a crop body (which I'm assuming you had)
I had one on my 7D and I swapped it for the 17-40mm f4L as it's a nicer wide indoor lens
If you're going for stealthy shots the 85mm 1.8 is...
Interesting - I mentioned to one of my mates who does a lot of sprint racing about getting R888's and he said "they're over advertised b****cks, get dunlops"... lol
Wow just watched the videos - I really can't wait to get mine back down to Brands now - and Anglesey
I've not had chance to get it on track since the ITB's and all the stripping happened over winter - but your car sounds awesome and goes like hell
What tyres are you guys running?
Not a lot - I took my dials out, pulled the pins off, removed the front and stuck black tape over the led's for the warning lights and put it back together ;)

Cheers mate I think i'll get a piece of sheet steel and try some heights - maybe cover it in skateboard gripper tape stuff too :)
I think one of the sites I was reading (I think it was K-Tec's) said quite specifically that the wilwood kit had been made to fit under Ph1 wheels - so you should be fine
Unless they have the jamsport kit which swaps for bigger discs - then they won't fit

The only thing I can think is someone was camping there pre-race, but ermmm if you camp at a race circuit you should expect to get woken up by the noise of ITB's lol
It is impressive - but it's completely useless without a graph with just the decat, exhaust and remap as well so you can see just how much difference the RS2 made ;)

Oh and also WTF with the bloke at Anglesey?
Last time I was there we arrived pre-8am for sign on and all had the engines running as it was freezing cold and we were using the heaters for warmth - one of my...

Hey mate - just noticed in your pics that you seem to have a bit of a raised floor on the drivers side
I've been doing some miles in mine recently and my right ankle really hurts holding the throttle on the...
Throttle position switch is definitely on the end of the throttle pedal mate - brake light switch is down there too
Could be the actual throttle pedal I have heard of them failing - or it could be wiring
I'd have a quick look at the connections - you can see them by sticking your head under the...
Yeah but I'll be fitting cams this summer which will see 215bhp too - so I'm assuming if it was restricting on there's it would have been on mine too
Think I'm gonna stick to my sausage filter lol
Sorry but disagree with that completely
I took my Gorilla Pod to London a few years back with my Canon 7D and 17-40mm f4L (heavy lens!!)
It works brilliantly and fits in a very small camera bag with my camera.
It won't hold a 7d up if you attach it horizontally to a lamppost or something like...
