Brilliant photo from Andy last month - congrats!!
Good theme this month - lots of obvious shots but a lot of interpretation. Looking forward to having a go :D
Sure it's not the O-Ring around the VVT Trigger?
That sits just behind the oil filler cap and leaked like hell on mine - dripped all down the back onto the manifold
Hahahha quality response. Would love to mate but I haven't had mine mapped yet so May will be it's first outing
Also I have no doubt you'd hand me my ass regardless of the power/weight difference - I've seen you drive, and I suck lol
Yep - I remember those days
Got 41mpg driving to Brands Hatch, had leather Recaros and leather rear bench
Got there, pulled the rear seats out as it's only one bolt and put them in the garage, had a whole day on track with just brembo discs and ferodo pads. Put the seats back in and drove home...
I disagree there - every track day I've done with renaultsport or just a normal open pit day, I've only met 2 people in clio's with their interior in
Met more than 20 with buckets, stripped out
Yep - I've got a sports cat on mine (200 cell) because I run a 182 manifold and 172 exhaust so none of the standard clio cat's would fit - but the 182 cat is 200 cell near enough anyway so there's zero point in swapping a standard cat for a sports cat
It's just the noise and what you think is happening
If I can run 200+bhp through a catalytic convertor - trust me it's not restricting your engine!
There are 240+bhp turbo cars on here running ph1 cats with no problems at all
It was a millenium era thing - silver was all the rage in 2000
One of my mates went to buy a white 106 gti and the salesman convinced him that silver would hold its value better and look better LOL
Silver was the highest seller by miles on 106's, the quiksilver was made exclusively in silver...
I missed this last year and was actually properly gutted

Yup - both mine fell off and failed MOT.
Cleaned the joint out - repacked it with loads of grease and stuck a stainless steel jubilee clip on mine - it's been like that for 2 years, nurburgring trip, endless track days and it's fine :D
The cup was around 1010kg with half a tank
I weighed everything coming out of it and it was over 100kg but then put a 55kg cage back in it - so best guess would be around 960kg with cage
I'm gonna go get it corner weighted in a few months so I'll have an exact figure then
I agree with your last...
I think the K-Tec wilwood kit makes more sense as it uses the standard discs so I can keep what I've got
I saw some pics of the 295mm kit and the discs have been re-drilled and really put me off :(
Stu - Those brakes would flip the clio on it's roof, but damn I want them! lol
PMSL at Trophy being the best out of the box track car
Heavier than a 172 cup, slower than a 172 cup, fancy suspension that costs a fortune to replace
I do love Trophy's - but when my cup was standard and I did a few track days, it was quicker than standard trophy's and cost £1500 less
Also if...
Re: 172 oil leak from rocket cover plenum area noticeable worse during hard track dri
Nah that's the VVC trigger
You have to take the top inlet off to get to it - then it's just a 10mm bolt holding it in
O-ring seal is about £6+vat from Renault
Definitely that if it's on that side - mine was...
Nice camera - I had a play with the X10 for a bit as I kinda wanted the zoom lens and slow motion video features, but the high iso and low dof of the X100 did it for me
Only annoying thing is I've already got some dust inside the lens and looking online it's a common fault with the X10 and X100...
The saxo/106 is better handling standard, the clio's tend to be a bit understeery where the 106/saxo will oversteer with a bit of lift-off
Fit a whiteline ARB to a clio though and it'll feel just like the saxo
The engines are fine - mines done 118k and gets used on track monthly with no...
Can't afford the TDF setup - it's huge overkill unless i'm using the car professionally
Wilwoods sound tempting then as I've only just fitted brand new brembo HC's
Cheers Sam
LOL yeah sorry mate - the colours are superb, i'm just going through an obsession with B&W at the moment
Planning some sunset shots in the local park later so if I get anything good i'll post it up
