i took my 182 into the dealers for a few warrenty problems to be sorted one of which being the emmissions light was on, when i phoned up today to see if it was ok to pick the car up they told me i needed a new cat and could i leave the car with them until tomorrow.
i have also asked them to...
just brought me the advent sat nav got it for £199 from PC world with a 1 day offer and got a free 128k flash drive as well, seems good value as it's got european mapping as well
i'm thinking of getting a sat nav for christmas but can't decide on which one to get
ideally it will have european mapping as well as i go to France fishing a couple of times a year (and i hate french maps)
i have just seen the advent 400 in currys @ £269 looks good for the price...
you never know when you might need it Chris
and i have found it useful a couple of times
all the people who turn it off every time they get in the car it makes me think what they are driving like on narrow B roads when they say it cuts in too much, unless they are rally or race drivers...
you probably could get them to fit but it would be really loud and imo a waste of money (if you want carbon or titanium cans) as you would'nt see any of the finish.
i had this on my 182 the other day, phoned the dealer and they told me to ring the AA as they could not book me in for over a week.
the AA bloke came out and reset it, he thinks the HT lead was arcing out due to the cold weather (he told me to get it checked out at the dealer), it has'nt come...
the RS200 was at Croft just getting into the car to go to the next stage and the side pods caught my eye so out came the camera (first one i have ever seen)
from the last 3 days

yeah it's the exhaust gas monitor light, mine came on the other day on my 182(not at that speed) phoned renault and they told me to get the AA out just to reset it as the waiting time was 2 weeks and the AA bloke told me it may be the HT leads arcing out as he found a bit of carbon on them.
i just went out for 10 mins and my orange light for the exhaust gas came on i tried turning the ignition of for a few seconds but its still on, i'm going to phone the dealer up tomorrow but was just wondering if it has happend to anyone else and what they did
thanks
(the exhaust and cat is...
here's the sparco ones that i had on my 182 last year and they did keep a lot of the crap off the car i thought they looked nice but hav'nt got around to fitting them for this year yet.

but this is proper insurance the car would be insured fully comp so if you did have a crash it would just be like having a crash in you "own" car
IMO the only way the insurance co's could find out is if they filmed you for a year and you drove the car 365 days of that year and your parents...
the foam probably does work well but when you have a 1.5 inch slash in the side wall it will do f**k all except make a mess.
Mike no i did'nt drill it i bored it out on a CNC milling machine so it is a purfect fit best thing for you to do is go and have a word with a local engineering firm...
mine was off a rover 200/400 it's the same PCD but i had to machine about 3.5mm out of the centre bore to make it fit also the overall diametre of the wheel and tyre only differs by about 5mm.
got it off e-bay for £10 and the space it takes up is'nt that bad compared to the std size wheel, it...
yeah i hit a raised drain cover while overtaking and split the sidewall and i was in the middle of Wales had to be brought back on a transporter ( and they scratched my wheels as well)
now i have a space saver in my boot at all times which is a pain in the arse, i know i will never buy another...
i would try and get more than just what you paid back maybe even a free service (if you want to take your car back to them of course)
speak to trading standards as well about the matter
