I will try them again for real price as the 197 vent has an exhaust on it aswell, allowing you to stop airflow completely with the interior vents right? Where as the s1600 vent needs a blanking plate to stop. I'm getting offered s1600 vents for £80 in fibreglass and £160 in carbon so I'm...
Yeah tried r-sports in London and the guy said £400ish for the vent, he's always reluctant to go check prices, I have bought parts there and he took my details, gave me a rough estimate and just charged correct amount to my card and sent an invoice. I don't know what there problem is there, you...
Does tin tops not even allow a roof vent? I have heard that you have to keep silhouette but surely that's for aerodynamic aids like massive spoilers and diffusers/splitters.
Its a series I want to have a go at when I get going racing but I will just make mods like this removable as Scottish...
Is your 197 roof vent a Renaultsport part or copy, interested to know the quality and fitment. There was one for sale on here but I missed out and at 400 note from Renault, I think I will just settle for a s1600 copy in either carbon or f/glass.
Yeah sounds expensive (rolls royce...aircraft grade)
"I had to holes cut into the windows when they were made mate" so you made the windows or you had them cut by window company.... If so who did you use? I will also run a roof vent or possibly some of those scoops for the window sliders, pop...
Cheers chip. Okay I see what your saying about the clock and lines etc, the first part of the movement forward would give you the greatest degrees change and would decrease every mm you went forward. The calculations went clean over my head lol, its been a while.
Any figures of what caster that...
Just stumbled on this thread, good idea this, saves on messing with offset bushes as the cup racers had, only issue I can see with this is strength, that's where all the loading is put through, another solution would be to move forward the outer hole a little and the inner hole back keeping...
Re: Boosted BlackGold Project - F4rT content.
Getting there mate, spiral cover for wiring loom looks good, might get some if I don't use techflex, quite pricey.
So you are using the megane block, I cant remember your spec (whats the benefits using the block and not just the head) . Thats a bit...
Ah right okay, I thought it was your diffuser you was looking to squeeze in, I forgot about your side exit.
I will revisit the fuel system once car is complete, phase 2's tend not to suffer with starvation but my plan is racing so I won't be running on fumes.
I will be doing the same with the...
Yeah I have watched most tony. When I say I'm struggling it's for videos of cups racing as there a slightly different beastie to phase one's.
And Tony I tried my ARB up against my racer wishbones yesterday, no issue with being pushed forward. I also noticed there was more room to offset so they...
Top work as usual kenny, I would just get rid of standard tank and make mounts for an alloy tank underneath the car to whatever size you require, keeps centre of gravity down and allows yo to use the setup you have just made.
Then get a kevlar wrap to toughen things up, ian speedy just got a...
Yeah will come up with something if there flimsy, seller said thy are direct swaps. Pip pins? pins with r-clips right?
Have you got any pics or videos of your car in avatar, im going for similar colour scheme but in orange, cant find nothing on your car.
I look forward to the seeing the full session vids, gives me an idea of what my car will be like, there's not many videos on the net (that I can find anyway) of clios racing/ testing.
Have been lurcking on this thread mate, glad to see you got rid of your electrical gremlins, do you have and vids of your test day?
Hope the race goes good for you's, I need a women that would go racing with me and do well, lucky man lol.
Yeah the PM kit comes with plates to beef up shock mount, decent kit, needs minimal fettling to fit. I just went for it as I have heard that cup racers have been known to have loose rear ends with slicks fitted so should stiffen things up nicely. Setups are also known to need reset after a race...
I have been struggling for motivation recently to get on with things on the car but after my trip to Knockhill at the weekend to watch my mates in the scottish minis & saloon cars, I see what Im missing. So with my oncoming trip to Jordan only days away I thought I better get something done.
I...
No worries I just had to lol, just with what I was saying that it was maybe a 2 piece shaft from the normal 172 you might of thought it could have been the wrong shaft fitted.
No s**t sherlock haha, sorry I thought that would be obvious.
Heres the link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Drive-Shaft-Right-RENAULT-CLIO-II-00-GKN-/300733302551?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3AClio%7CCars+Type%3A2.0+16V+Sport&hash=item46051a0717#ht_1749wt_1195
It's easy to check, if it looks like this
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RENAULT-CLIO-SPORT-DRIVE-SHAFT-172-/221100078385?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item337a977531#ht_386wt_90
and is bolted to the engine with a bearing on the drivers side then its not the right shaft.
It should...
You shouldn't be able to adjust camber on a standard car. Clicking while moving forward and back with wheels straight ahead is usually a driveshaft. The cup shafts are supposed to be the longest and are easily reconisible by being a one piece shaft.
Are you sure? all 1*2's have the same 23 splines inside and outside so any shaft COULD fit but they are of different lengths.
If it's a 172 cup you have they all have one piece driveshafts where as otheres have two piece, have a quick look and see.
You will be fine with the corbeau revenge then.
I'm 36" waist and there's a bit of room to move and the winged parts are high enough not to rub on the top of my shoulders and not fold them in.
No these aren't cds tubing chip but the guy that offers the cage would do it for £50 extra on top of the amazingly good £160 for half cage with x-brace and harness bars, op doesn't have bars on his. I'm Very for this cage for a track car at the £210 price tag for half cage that could be MSA...
That's what I'm getting at, the difference in diameter. Your 16s have a diameter Of 591mm and 15s is 576mm. At around 2.5% it's not a lot of difference but will alter settings, if your spending money you should have setup on 15s a d switched to 16's for road driving. I'm sure you know but...
