Re: Upgrade to Espace (2 Pot) Calipers -> Wich discs ?
Seen this long time ago from Noos but decided against when I couldn't find good pads and also I think you might run in to issues with the offset of the disks, may need to space out calliper from hub. Good luck !
Go on the infield section of Knockhill at the first corner "Duffus Dip" you will see the whole track except the hairpin, get close to the cars in pit. Otherwise stand close to big screen and you'll see the lot.
Rolls quite a bit in that vid, has good mid corner speed against the FWD cars tho . Standard bmw's are epic for drifting, changes when you get good suspension on, like trying to walk a tight rope, can be very twitchy, puts the sh**ers up you.
Yeah I know what your saying, In a straight line there will be little draw from the engine, that wasn't really my thinking or the little weight saving. The first reason I removed mine was my system needed a complete overhaul, new pump, pipes (there not cheap) and secondly just for simplicity and...
Yes I did and other magazines/tv shows that have tested have had the Corsa on top, most infact, clios handling always gets a mention for handling but never much more.
All that im saying is the Corsa is faster real world and more refined/better built car.
No worries mate, Cup Phil runs the B14 and is quite un impressed by them for track, I think the spax kit is better all round for similar money if not cheaper.
I look forward to seeing it, Clio??
I like the weighty feel of non power steered cars, more feedback IMO, im not exactly built like the gable end of a fiver either so I should be alright. I know what your saying tho, one handed ohh f**k moments might be a bit more work plus my pipework was burst, pump tired and I have already...
Not much progress today although I got a hold of a lower dash to resolve my little fire, mikalor clamps came with twin 10" fans, ECU was sent away for a health check FOC, thanks omex. Inner track rods, cam stud/nut, gearbox stud. Need my flywheel lightened/balanced, thermostat housing & strainer...
Nice road spec car mate, If you want the wheels to look really good then i'd suggest coilovers, spax rsx from dan @519 get good write ups, a little bit more than you wanted to pay though.
I personally wouldn't have coilovers on my day to day car, been there and done that, another option to keep...
Re: Road/Track 172
Ill see what's easiest when I come to it but omex spliced in a fan relay to my loom so that should be easy enough and I hope to mount the omex inside so should be easy enough for the fuel pump, did you wire in the dash binacle there is a feed for that aswell on my loom? Where...
Re: Road/Track 172
Yeah I think omex sent out a plug to match the signal splitter. So you just run a 12v constant cam solenoid?
Also did you run the wires from the omex loom directly to the fan getting rid of standard?
The threads about 197 beating a corsa, therefore speed related. Corsa's quicker end of.
If your saying the more expensive car is a chav's car, I don't see it. Remove the awfull fog surrounds for Opel ones and the car changes looks. Not many "chav's can afford them by me. More clio's owned by...
It seems I will just have to go through everything and take notes for torques I want, the manuals are the most long winded I have seen, repetitive as fook.
Yeah I see where your coming from, but id like to keep the dash bar to earth out all the interior switches/wiring etc just now, I would need to rewire the inside which Is a plan I have for later.
Just fitted tabs to secure lower dash some more as well but I better fit the tabs for the top...
Cheers James, sods law..... im not kidding when I say it was the 2nd last weld to be done...BA***RD.
That's a pity, im sure I will get one, I plan to remove it at some point when I get dash2 etc but it just makes for an easier build just now. I might even run it with small amount of melting but...
Big bump... Corsa will eat the 197/200 for breakfast, Corsa needs a little respect when cornering that's where people get them wrong, boot the corsa and you get 5 second overboost which makes a big difference where as the clio you just sink the foot all the time...no torque.
Im a bit biased...
