Cheers for that. Yeah part number would be good, That's a 5 or a 6 ribbed they use standard I will need a 4 rib but if you have the length or belt number that would be better.
Yeah that's your journals mate.
Perfect I was going to ask for that, should be needing it soon. Pm it or whatever, mail me if its easier!
Im pretty sure I don't need a cat to run in the Scottish saloon's, I will have to follow up on that.
Were your bearings blue/scored etc on the other three journals that were left?
Do you need a cat for tintops and is there a set Db level for all circuits they visit or does it differ from place to place, sorry to keep asking questions but im too lazy to check regs for different championships as...
Its the best lairy colour combo I can think of with blue that looks half decent. You said it was a Porsche colour?I would probably look for slightly different colour to save £'s on paint, I don't know the price differences between paint, is a Porsche colour more expensive than a ford for example...
Im usually the same but after seeing it today the white has grown on me, they are probably the better of the two sets paint wise but the original plan was to highlight everything orange including the wheels but I just want it done so I can drive the thing so that can wait, im more keen on the...
So Iv had quite a busy couple of weeks on and off on the car, got loads of little bits rolling and completed some of the bigger jobs.
Was doing some finishing work on the cage and managed to set my dash on fire.....Nightmare.
Im lucky im not using that dash top, it was just a test piece for...
Yeah I would imagine they weigh more than your typical road tyre, stiffer side wall etc. 182 wheels are bigger, smaller aspect tyre. Ozf1's are smaller with bigger aspect tyre, swings & roundabouts.
My slicks weighed in at almost 11kg each by themselves, good tyres are heavy.
Kudos for trying something new but I can't help think how vulnerable that belt is to coming/knocked of. You will find 95% of the time ribbed or shouldered pulleys are used on the outmost pulleys in a serpentine belt layout. We all know what can happen when aux belt comes off, good bye engine....

What have you done/seen?
Cut and sleeved the tie rod itself or added a threaded portion onto the track rod end. First would be easier option.
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
That's the thing for the job eh. You could drop the subframe in minutes with this setup.
You said you had a dci rack there. Few questions lol
How does it compare for turns against your current?
Whats the...

Am I missing something, can you get a "box of tricks" for the Clio dci system, assuming its a power assisted column??
Any links??
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
When I first got my Corsa I searched for ever to find the p/steering fluid resevoir as i thought it felt low sometimes, I never found that resevoir yet lol.
Would be a nice feature but trying to get the rack...
Re: 172 Cup track toy!
Did that exact same when I bought my new motorbike, the salesman said take it easy the first 500/1000 miles. So I divided that lower figure by 10 and then gave it rod, went like a good ene after that lol.
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Yeah I think I read something about guys looking for the quick racks.
So the Clio dci is a manual rack with an electric assisted column? Same as the corsa?
I used to own a corsa b many moons ago and it used...

What did you do with pipes when yours failed? iv made a loop on the rack, filled with fluid and packed and sealed the pinion with grease.
The cup racer setup is similar to corsa/saxo design just a bit more...
Re: 172 Cup track toy!
Have you been advised to give it some aswell, slackens them off but it's hard on a turbo unless the map is near enough perfect. Burning pistons is too easy. You don't have to redline but give it some up the revs.
My pal had a n/a C20XE built for his Westfield racecar to...

Hard work right but more feel of what's happening?
Im going to be running slicks when allowed aswell so im going to now about it after my first few test sessions but I can only try. Yeah more than likely it...

Top write up James, onwards & upwards from now on I'm sure. Fairly elobarate plans you were thinking on for the off season until the engine went.
P.s guess you don't like the car with no p/steering lol...I...
You could be right, I'm not that familiar with the differences between F4R's but most torque sequences start in in the centre and work out so you'll be fine.
I wouldnt worry too much Mark about the torque sequence, just start in the centre and alternate tightening the bolts from side to side untill theres none left and you'll be fine.
I would worry more about getting some sealant on points 'A' & 'B' in above picture and a smear of sealant on the...
Nice one smokey the proof will be when the scenic disks go on and then you will know for sure.
How does the thickness of the scenic disks you plan on fitting compare to disks fitted standard on the espace.
Have you tried checking what other variants the calipers come on, you might find them on...
I meant what were the shafts from that you fitted? From what you are describing it still sounds like driveshafts without seeing the car.
There is a mod you can do to the top mounts if you are certain they are knocking which is quite common but I believe it's only on full lock.
Heres the link...
Some cup shafts come with abs rings I have been told, both mine have rings and I measured there the correct length as I'm looking for longer shafts if you know of any mr pink?
Re: My 172 Cup (T5MY G) 191.2 Bhp & 173.4 Torque
Nice sound from those behind headlight induction kits k-tec etc.
That pops & bangs are awful, sorry but they aren't even timed right where a proper race/ rally car would have them lol, must get SUPER annoying on a long drive ?
