Rallying is categorised by CC, not power.
I know of 1400cc cars running 180+bhp which can easily beat the higher classed cars.
Geternally rallying is classed as.....
Up to 1000cc
Up to 1400cc
Up to 1600cc
Up to 2000cc
Over 2000cc
Forced induction runs a 1.7 multiplier
So buy running his...
@AlanWak yes it was a demo autosolo at Ormskirk motorfest and I just like to mess about and slide the car a bit for the spectators. As for handbrake, its bog standard clio so you're clio should do exactly the same.
I'm hoping to be at the autosport show on the Thursday if you are there, as I...
Forgot to say, I've also got a lower cwp and gripper diff.
As the other link isn't working, I'll try it again, my first ever autosolo
I also sprint
And hillclimb
Bucket seat
Dished steering wheel
Solid engine mounts and dogbone mount
Rear anti roll bar (really helps turn in)
98 Ron remap (pull better lower down)
Koni dampers and eibach springs work very well with autosolo, sprints hillclimb and trackdays too.
I cant do either date due to Christmas parties.
I need to pull my finger out and get my car built so that I could actually turn up to a meet in a clio again!
Has anyone on here been to or seen any sort of street race competition anything remotely similar to that shite scene?
I would love to know what the researchers have been taking / smoking
Im definitely not a polisher, my car is lucky to get a wash but for the sake of a quick wipe over the screen and lights with rainx, and a squirt in the washer bottle with the additive its been great on my rally cars and road cars for years.
I always keep the key and barrel ignition with my cars, never bother faffing about doing a push button as if I stall it, I automatically just go for a key.
I am looking at using the Ph1 engine loom, cable throttle and ecu to do away with all the stupid uch and canbus crap.
I havnt sorted the...
It needs to have an ignition source put through the relay to kill the engine when the kill switch is operated as just cutting the power from the battery will not kill the engine.
You can either use the ignition live or in the past I have used the coil live.
They are bored a standard larger diameter and just require spigot rings to suit the vehicle they are to be fitted on.
New spigot rings are less than a tenner.
As long as the bolt pcd is correct (4x100) and they have the offset you want then you just get the spigot rings to suit.
You have pretty much answered your own problem
Loose rack bushes would mean the rack being able to move/slide which equates to sloppy steering!
Tighten them up and should be problem solved
Well I did stick it into the tyres at Wigan in 2014, but that was because I was messing about with the handbrake. No damage though, I was more annoyed it got stuck on the grass!
