    cat back wont make much odds on a 1.4 but will sound a lot better. Really its a choice of tail pipe design as much as anything else

    Doesnt have to be more than the value of the car. Most insurance companies will write it off if the damage is more than 50% of the cars value.

    Only you can make that decision, you have to drive both. Try Bell.co.uk and Virgin. I think you will get those quotes down a bit!

    two insurance policies cannot be compared unless all the variables are the same. In other words 99.9% of posts in this thread, including my previous one are absolutely useless.

    £1300 on a 1.6 Clio at 18 with PassPlus and a claim ;) CIS FTW! They give you 1ncb for pass plus! EDIT: Insurance is cheaper on your provisional then it is if you have just passed ;)

    Christophe if youn want a god drop then get some H&R coilovers and get them properly setup. It wont ruin your car, but will be a lot firmer, but thats something that cant be avoided when going low.

    Its a bit expensive for a PH1 172 but people who want that colour will probably pay near that money. If i had the money and it was as in good condition as it seems I'd buy it

    Ride will be firmer but not drastically so. DynamiqueDebs had the same concerns and went for Eibach Prolines with the Eibach Dampers and was over joyed with the results.

    jsut a chip will do very little to the 197 as its already so highly tuned and there is little to gain on NA engines anyway. To make any siginificant improvement is over £1000

    ST170 is underpowered adn as said is more of a warm hatch, but they are great fun to drive.

    dont need running in but they do run in. as Burp said the noise changes etc but thats just the exhaust building up a layer of carbon(?)
