Yep. I paid £122.60 for track time and just paid £33.60 for 2 entry tickets.
Add £40 for a cheap hotel night before, and £80 for fuel (travel and track) and thats b4 a beer and any food
I love it tho...... Can't wait. Hope weather is fab on day
Still a few more small things on Clio to do, just...
Weather looks fabulous for this on Saturday
Brighton seaside, a car show, and fabulous weather
Surprised not more members fancy it
Gonna be great- shorts n t shirt all ready to go
Cambelt, aux belt, dephaser, water pump, tensioner, oil / filter change £620 all in
Needs car for the day
Gonna ask about fitting new cams- anything else they can enhance performance wise whilst doing cambelt?
not absolutely certain what you mean by scrub, but if its the removal and roughening up of the tyre surface more than normal driving, tyres at Lydden fayre pretty badly as its only a mile circuit with lots of twists and bends. Tyres don't last long anyway
I reduced my pressure to 24psi as...
AD08R's all round, but have a pair of federal RSR's i can put on front as they do get chewed up quick
Coilovers on front set lowered bout 40mm atm, same as rear adjustable springs
Yep- will give it a go with spacer on. Can always get new shorter bolts, and take the spacers off at track if they dont work for me
got 16mm's all round, so 32mm wider per axle
had troubles with my throttle body when clio was first purchased, replaced the throttle cable that broke, replaced the throttle cable again, took throttle body off cleaned it, took it back off and cleaned again, sent it off to have it rebored, new butterfly spindle and cleaned up for £85, and...
Quite right- but think ive thrown the original wheel bolts ot at best misplaced them, after storing these summer wheels in the shed.... probably buy some other bolts as back up for standard wheels anyway
greatstuff- i fancy trying Lydden with spacers on as theres lots turns to complete- got a...
seen that Demon Tweekes sell spacers as "Hub Buddies" and suggest they are good on track for better cornering
and also KTEC racing do a specific Clio set for the track too
so if they are selling them specifically for track, they cant be bad
I suppose it plays on the mind that the longer the...
thread resurrection- so, running a full set of 16mm hubcentric spacers all round would be fine on a track (Lydden)
I was gonna remove the spacers, but cant find the original bolts... Doh!
cheers for the info- i'm a phase 1 172, but will ask Clioman (Trader) see if he can sort some better jackpoints for me
Anyone recommend a lightweight low entry trolley jack- under 10kg. A carry handle be nice too.
Trying to get Track ready, me, at the moment
AD08rs being fitted to my lighter than standard wheels, then the 4 wheels fitted to the car. Now realised that as i want to remove the 20mm spacers with extended bolts, i had on for the winter, went to look for the OEM wheel bolts and think Ive thrown...
anyone got a photo of where on the front chassis rail, or is it on the bolt as the photo earlier post 7#
Ive got mangled (Hasnt everyone) jack points, and would like to jack from the chassis rail just behind the front bolt joint, but it looked like it was giving a bit when i tried, so went back...
I was wondering whether going back to the same place (Setyres £32) will make him go a bit easier as he has seen the car before and will have it on record.
Was chuffed that it didn't fail on anything major tbh. A sticker and dislodged sidelight ... that was it. Oh, and advisory noisy exhaust LOL
they failed me last time for a cliosport sticker in swept area (And a sidelight bulb that had come out of its position- sure he knocked it). No sunstrip back last Spring.
"I didn't want to rip it off in case you got upset" he said. So I ripped it off, waited for an hour and got him to issue a...
for the sake of £20 think I will just rip the strip off
not even sure that cut down wiper blades, that miss the strip, will get through because of the reduced screen area they clear
Hard luck OP
Mine was really hard to remove last time round, even with the correct tool- and i made sure i didnt overtighten when i put the oil filter on the time before that.
Dont bother messing with the filter guard myself, so struggle with it in place- best part half hour- even smeared the...
Realise this has been much discussed but I am still unsure
Ive a luverly 5 inch sunstrip that I don't wanna remove (My driver seat is low and the strip really helps avoid the sun)
Whats the rule on windscreen wipers- the OEM Blades sweep over the strip by several cms, so I can remove and replace...
