Not sure if the UK models are actually in the customer's hands yet ... I've not seen any. However I over took a silver one today on M27 West ... on red French plates. Didn't get much of a chance to look at the arse end as I zipped past, but the front end looked OK. Was only so much I could slow...
Last night ... 55 plate. Came out of top of Chandler's Ford, on to M3 South. I overtook you and then we (unintentionally) convoyed to Hedge End where I got off.
Driving the Vee with 6 gears isn't the problem ... it's getting back into a 5 speed car that's more troublesome. When I'm driving my missus' at the weekends I keep finding myself going to put it into 6th on the motorway ... actually tried to do the other week. The graunch from the box reminded...
What car is it on? On a 172 there are no pad wear sensors, but as BurningFeetMan says on a long left hander (eg. motorway) if your fluid is a little low you can get the lights to come on.
Mikey and his magic hammer :D
First day of opening and Rentech is already winning plaudits ... which isn't a suprise at all given all the great work Mike's done on my cars in the past.
Congratulations on a great start to your new venture Mikey!! :D
When I was young I had a low powered car ... I insured it my name.
When I was a bit older I had a slightly more interesting car ... I insured it my name.
Once I was old enough (in the insurer's eyes) I started getting really interesting cars ... I insured them in my name.
Really isn't...
Actually reckon it's different between the two models. On Mk1 (like my Mk1 172) you press the ADAC button (aka the one on the end of the stalk) when it says OIL OK. On Mk2 you press the trip reset button by the dials when it says OIL OK.
Had me going for a while when I first got my Vee since...
The hazard light system on 172/182 is suprisingly complicated involving the UCH ... but in this instance simply sounds like your switch is buggered and isn't latching in. Not as easy to get to on Mk2 either (vs. Mk1 where you could get behind it by popping off the gear stick gaitor).
Bluetac...
If it's when the wheels are spinning initially then it's mostly tramp ... wheels are scrabbling for traction and bounce a bit.
If it's knocks/vibrations when more generally at full chat then it's most likely the mounts. As you can see most owners have the problem since standard 172 mounts...
Which is why I'm no longer with Admiral! I had someone bump me in traffic ... the most common incident around. I was totally blameless, third party tool full liability, no more at risk of this happening than anybody else, yet Admiral still wanted to fleece me. Totally f**king stupid policy and I...
Take your covers off ... and then it's at the front of the engine so if you lean over from the front seats you should be able to see it. Think the handle on it is purple if I recall correctly. Be careful when you pull it out tho' since you don't want to get oil on the headlining ;)
Looks absolutely great Mike ... and of course all the right kit to do a proper job which I know (from personal experience) you'll do :D
Looking forward to the grand CS opening meet too ... mini pork pies please mate ;)
Well on a V6 like 137699 and I drive it's very simple. You undo the wheel bolts and then you take the wheel off, and then you push the cover from the other side.
Not all of us have wheels that have "centre caps" across the bolts ... just across the centre hub hole.
Assumption is the mother...
So now for example you could have your car serviced at a reputable independent Renault specialist garage ... maybe Rentech ... and it wouldn't adversly affect your warranty. Cool
