I was a real tart when choosing mine ... was going to have silver (quite rare for 255), then red, but then having looked at a number in various colours I decided to go for (the most popular) Illiad blue. Im very glad I did :D

I thought auto-wipers, along with auto-lights, and cruise control were one of the "must have" accessories?Thats what all the full fat owners say while calling me a pauper anyway :devilish:Are the auto-wipers a pile of sh*te then?
Howdy...
Didnt expect it would Iain ... but "Anonymous of the South Coast" has come thru with the funds anyhow ;)

LMFAO ... very good Mal :D I bought those trousers as a tribute...
All sorted :D As ever I was able to benefit from Mikey172s excellent workmanship ... a stress free experience and the positive outcome I was hoping for.
From the man himself ... "the fault was an open circuit to the fuel canister purge solenoid ... I didnt need to replace the solenoid as it...
I once had problems with the hazards on my 172 Mk 1. In my case they only worked when the ignition was on and not off ... turned out to be an lose connection on the switch. Anyhow at the time JAY who is an RTE who used to frequent CS explained how the hazards worked. Surprisingly complex IIRC...
Followed a Racing Blue 182 with stripes up the Eastern Road into Pompey today c. 16:00. Finally caught it up (was in small engined Megane with boot loaner rather than my usual squeeze) to read advertising on the back. "Petes Feet" chiropody
Yes ... next question ;)
You can buy faster cars for the money. You can buy better handling cars for the money. However the V6 is plenty fast enough and handles very well with loads of grip and you wont be embarrassed on a track!
However, the V6 is something very special. Youll smile every...

Im very lucky ... dont worry at all when my car is in since I know its in good hands! Mikey172s to be exact :D.
If in the future Mikeys not able to do it for me then Ill be beside myself with worry.
Trouble is that a mad FWD isnt different enough. Sure they could play with the looks (S1600 stylee) but only so much they can do to the dynamics of the car.
Its the fact that V6 is SO different than a 172/182 (and anything else out there) which makes it so special.
Spotted by the missus and kids today. Roundabout in Chichester (I assume on the A27). Silver. "Going very fast". Possibly a 51-plate with a "CLI" suffix.
In an evil attempt to upset me the wife said "it looked really nice in silver". Well itd look really nice in blue if ever you let me clean...
Yep ... my V6 does, and my 172 before it, and indeed my Xsara VTS before that. A number of factors ... climatic factors of course, but also how the cars been run before (eg. warm engine), amount of fuel in tank (my V6 seems sweeter around around 3/4 of a tank as if fueling is stronger) ... and...
