Lovely car. Any tuning plans for it?

Few pics of the new motor

Looks fantastic that. You never got over the 197 so best to get back in one.

    Renault Clio Sport 172 ph 2 + All extra's/ 03 plate with 69000

I almost cried when Riad told me that. I want a £250 ph1!!!! Its great how cheap RS Clios are getting though.

    Clio III 1.2TCE Remap

The Clio TCE is ok for a 1.2, it has the torque of the 1.6 K4M it replaced and its delivered a bit earlier too so it feels ok to drive. I agree its probably better to just leave it as it is and wait for an upgrade in car. Standard CS response but as everybody knows the injectors are a limiting...

    Track **** in the making!

Looks good mate. I wouldn't bother with strut braces though. Better off with solid top mounts and a whiteline adjustable anti roll bar.

    Clio III 1.2TCE Remap

I'd just stick to a standard off the shelf remap. I'd also look at getting some coilovers, properly set up as mat said.

    Expensive day :(

I'm hoping greenlight will give me a good insurance quote when i'm 21, that would see me back in an RS Clio :) I'm sure the car will feel a lot better when its all done though, every now and again they need a bit of money spending on them to keep them fresh.

    My First Race

Fair play for chucking yourself in at the deep end. Drove a good race too. Well done.

    wheres my 5 k kick

My 172 used to really kick at just over 5k.

Easy induction sound (unplugging a pipe?)

Get a ph1 airbox and run it with no airfeeds. There are no heatsoak issues as JMS proved. Something like 5 degrees above ambient at 60mph. It sounds epic. Best free mod I ever did to my 172.

It was sunny today, so I got my Rat out....

Thats pretty awesome to be honest.

Good choice mate. Great feeling getting your first RS Clio.

Funniest Thing You Have Been Told By A Dealer...

I wonder if he actually believed that himself? Getting back in a MCS then? Had enough of the Vee?

    Quarter mile/drag strip question...

Thats pretty cool! How much did that cost if you don't mind me asking?

    1.2 16v dynamique MPG

36-38 mpg was average for me. compared to about 32 in my ph1 172. Motorway in the 1.2 was probably around 45-48 @ 70mph compared to 40-44 in the 172.

    How tall are you ?

I'm only 5" 7 so its never been a problem for me. The driving position is poor though. If you put the seat on its highest setting its acutally laughable.

Pic Request: 172 Cup on 15" Oz F1's

Looks really good on the anthracite f1's. I love the fact they're 15" so cheap tyres.

    My First Car :D

Plus eibach sportline springs and turinis if funds allow. A map and intercooler would make it good for about 80-90bhp too.

Cracking selection of cars. All in really good condition too.

    1.2 16v OR 1.5d?

I'd have the dci. I'd never buy another 1.2 Clio, or 1.2 anything, but the dci's are pretty damn good tbh.

    Justifying/keeping a car you don't use.

I sold my car for this reason Jamie, I would hardly use it so I sold it to avoid the running costs. However if you can afford to keep it easily then i'd keep it, you've just had it on track, thats something you wouldn't do in the replacement car probably. It all depends what you want from the...

    A Ferrari 355 experience...

I loved driving a 355. The noise is epic. The only downside was having to change up at 7500rpm, i suppose its only fair to protect the cars though.

New Car Content = Supercharged Content

I'm a huge fan of the gen 1 MCS. Especially the GP. Epic cars imo. Pricey yes, but depreciation is also relitavely low as with all mini's.

182 hits limiter at 6800 revs? or maybe just below

If its still doing it when its warmed up fully. Say after 30 mins then it will more than likely be a thermostat problem, which won't let the car get fully up to temperature thus leaving the cold limiter still active. Its a pretty common fault.

    My new 182 :)

Looks great that mate. Get a cup spoiler on it to improve the looks from the back.

Where do you see your clio in 40 years..

I'd say 99% of Clio's currently on the road will be scrapped by them. There may be a few Vee's knocking around possibly.

sad times, the RB is dead :(

Looks a bad one. Glad your ok. Hopefully you'll get a good payout for it, unfortunately the prices recently aren't great.

    Clio Dci 65

Well expect it to be a lot slower than a 172 cup. They're very economical though expect 55-60mpg average. Once rolling they are not too bad, i've only ever been in a dci 80 though. That was nippy when rolling, most economical of the three models too.

Oil problem, Mazda 323. Help please!

I checked the oil in my Mazda 323 runaround this morning. Its the 1.8, same engine that goes in the MX5. When you check the oil from cold it shows just under half on the dipstick. However if you check it again when its been run for 2/3 mins it shows nothing :S is it low on oil or not? I don't...
