When you say frightening what is it like compared to the Evo's and M3's you've had in the past?

I thought that. I haven't driven a CTR but it seemed to be the opposite to what every body else says about them. To be honest there would be minimal difference around a track between a 1*2 and EP3 around a track. I do want to try an EP3 just to try the engine and 'box though.

I used to use up to 7100ish in 1st and 2nd to take advantage of the low ratio then change up at 6.5 in 3rd and 4th. seemed to work for me.

There aren't any cheap mods you can do for a significant change in power on the K4M. If your handy with the spanners then look at Hutchies car, I think thats making just over 150bhp iirc on bike throttle bodies. He did it cheap but it was all done by himself.

Sounds a damn sight better than the Meg did thats for sure. It is actually a really good exhaust note for a standard got hatch.

Good write up that mate. 250bhp+ from a 1.4 on standard internals is seriously impressive to be fair.

Its a nice little car. Do you not miss the 300+ lbft of the meg though? The 170bhp map should see it be as quick as an RS Clio though, The SS at 160bhp is still just under 4 seconds shy of a 200 0-100.

No point in doing that at all imo. If you must swap the engine just stick the F4R in it.

Really nice. Needs a cup spoiler I think though. I don't know why anybody would pay £1200 for paint and not £200 for a cup pack (the origional owner).

I found it worst between 60 and 75. You get a load of boom, which is far from ideal as its motorway cruising speeds.
