Bought the 172 outright on the day with my Switch card.
Planned V6 is a different matter tho. Buying outright would mean me spunking all my savings in one go, and the missus wont ever let me do that! Less than 5 figures sat in the bank and she gets all jumpy! So enter the offset flexible...
Theres been this program on BBC 1 after 9:00AM this week called "Beat the Burglar". Absolutely f**king shocking to see ... people watch their houses being burgled by an ex-con "security consultant". Often takes him just seconds to get in. While hes burgling the house in the "general" sense, he...
Full comp ... so all now in the hands of my insurers. My car is being assessed by the approved repair (who look pretty good from their website) on Monday ... and will then be fixed whilst I get a courtesy car. Will see if I can get them to sort another couple of things whilst theyve got the...
Yeah ... thats the problem. On the Admiral quote system you tell it that that an "incident" occurred and the premium goes up! Even if nobody claimed anything ... the quote goes up! It doesnt ask "where you totally blameless minding your own business driving safely". Hope it can all be sorted by...
Wont affect my NCB ... since (a) I wont be claiming against my insurance and will be recovered from other drivers and (b) its protected anyhow. However the mere act of saying that there was damage to your car affects the premium on the Admiral site ... even if you dont claim anything and werent...
Hmmm ... so Ive been playing on the Admiral site some more. Even mentioning an accident with "No Claim" registered for it results in a hike of £95! b****cks to that!
Shame ... since when that "No" box is ticked the premium is a very good £645 which I dont think is bad for a brand new...
So which insurers do I contact to get my bumper fixed now? Do I get his insurers to send me a claim form ... or do I tell my insurers who send me a claim form which then ultimately gets charged back to his?
b*****d ... just had someone go into the back of my car on the way home from work. Usual sort of muppet manoeuvre ... he pulled out of junction looking to right and didnt bother to look to the left where he was going where I was queuing in traffic :( Hes scraped my bumper so that its going to...
So what are they going to replace it with? If I stretch things and buy myself a Vee 1Q05 ... what will I be kicking myself over later? Assume this is end of line with the new Clio in the wings?

Renault.
Next question of course is whether Renault do an i.d. leather baby seat that uses the Isofix ;) Theyre stopping the i.d. seats...
So my Mk1 172 doesnt have an airbag override switch for the front passenger ... hence I assume a Mk1 V6 doesnt either. But what about a Mk2? Can I turn off the airbags on the passenger side?
If my littlest one is gone to be able to ride in the Vee (on the rare occasions where my two biggest...
Just because youve got a modded car doesnt make you a chav! As an Oxford graduate with 3 kids and a fat salary Im arrogant enough to know that Im not a chav :devilish:
However, the reverse is not true. You can be chav and own a modded car. Just need to go to my local BK drive-thru on a...
Big thanks James!!! Exactly the picture I needed :)
Missus has the 7 seater, but there are always the occasions where 2 kids have to go one way, and 1 the other. "Umbrella" buggy would fit no probs there for the occasions where my youngest had went in the Vee.
Reckon with Mk1s, early ones had shift light and aly bonnet; some in the late-middle come with no light and still the aly bonnet (like mine); last ones didnt have light or the light bonnet. Even those who havent got it still have the space on the instrument panel for the light - it just doesnt...
Very, very, very, very jealous
Was planning on getting my very own V6 about now, but its all gone pear shaped. House extension is costing about 7 grand more than Id hoped, and didnt get the big pay rise Id have liked to cover things.
Hence, if I cant have one ... no one else...
Cant believe they thought there was a market for these .... there isnt is there folk?? ;) Where you part of any market research?
Maybe theyre embroidered "on demand" ... alledgedly ... at home ... by a drunk crack addict etc..
JAF ... can you let me know how you get on! Someone / something took real exception to my roof ... got 4 dents on it. Rather close to the edge tho so worried that dent guy might no be able to sort it ... not that Ive rung any yet
Car - 2 years ago when I bought it = £9500
Car - now = about £6500
Other costs (exhaust, engine mounts, paintwork, tyres) pale into insignificance compared with the depreciation :(
