Yeah ... thats the problem. On the Admiral quote system you tell it that that an "incident" occurred and the premium goes up! Even if nobody claimed anything ... the quote goes up! It doesnt ask "where you totally blameless minding your own business driving safely". Hope it can all be sorted by...

Wont affect my NCB ... since (a) I wont be claiming against my insurance and will be recovered from other drivers and (b) its protected anyhow. However the mere act of saying that there was damage to your car affects the premium on the Admiral site ... even if you dont claim anything and werent...

On DirectLine site ... it doesnt effect the premium. But theyre a much less competitive £840 :(

Hmmm ... so Ive been playing on the Admiral site some more. Even mentioning an accident with "No Claim" registered for it results in a hike of £95! b****cks to that! Shame ... since when that "No" box is ticked the premium is a very good £645 which I dont think is bad for a brand new...

So which insurers do I contact to get my bumper fixed now? Do I get his insurers to send me a claim form ... or do I tell my insurers who send me a claim form which then ultimately gets charged back to his?

Ditto ... theyve done several things for me ... exhaust, springs, engine mounts. Also been very good, helpful and reasonably priced.

Big thanks James!!! Exactly the picture I needed :) Missus has the 7 seater, but there are always the occasions where 2 kids have to go one way, and 1 the other. "Umbrella" buggy would fit no probs there for the occasions where my youngest had went in the Vee.

Reckon with Mk1s, early ones had shift light and aly bonnet; some in the late-middle come with no light and still the aly bonnet (like mine); last ones didnt have light or the light bonnet. Even those who havent got it still have the space on the instrument panel for the light - it just doesnt...

Very, very, very, very jealous :confused: Was planning on getting my very own V6 about now, but its all gone pear shaped. House extension is costing about 7 grand more than Id hoped, and didnt get the big pay rise Id have liked to cover things. Hence, if I cant have one ... no one else...
