Hold the dealers feet to the fire to ensure that they really do sort out about the 2nd key. Theyre not cheap. Also when it comes to wheel nut lock ... the car should have come with a magic number that I dont think Renault...
Didnt say where he was from other than local. White Clio Mk2 ... some styling mods. Said he came on the forum occasionally and I mentioned how he should come to the Hedge End meet.
Well ironically I was part of short supercar parade last night ... me at the front and a Carrera GT behind me. Second one Ive seen. I could see he was impressed at spotting me ;)
I tried the Internet broker route for a month or two ... never saw any real evidence that the car was ever going to turn up. If you order from a dealer they can give you a build date immediately ... but internet brokers were vague and passed blame down to Renault being vague with them. In the...
Dont think many Mk1s were registered on 51 plates!? Saw a titanium 172 today ... got to assume a Scottish driver given the flags on the plates and window. Hedge End near Southampton today at about 16:30.
Basically you need to pay. Even if previous owner had registered for life that isnt transfered to you. Something like £120 per year, or £350 lifetime.

Very thought of driving my Vee and I get a smile on my face. I wake up in the morning and think "hurray, got to drive my Vee to the gym", I think about going to work and its "bloody hell work ... but at least Ive got to drive the Vee there". Cant imagine many other cars make you feel like this :D
Insuring the Vee even costs old blokes like me a fair bit. Over 30, 15 years NCB (tho theyve stopped counting), no points ... still cost me £730 when I did it today. Moved to Privilege after Admiral (same as Elephant) dicked me around and added over £100 to the premium after I was bumped from...
I was originally going to have a rare Silver Mk2 before deciding it might be too plain. Then for a while I bowed to peer pressure and was ready for Mars Red. However, in the end having gone to look as some cars in various colours ... Im very glad I went for Illiad Blue :D Looks great ... even...
My wife hasnt driven the Vee ... or for that matter been driven in it. Shes sat in it twice ... principally to rest her legs whilst talking to me.
She tolerates my obsession ... as long as I dont expect to clean it too often :(
I once started on the task of taking down headlining ... quickly decided better. Can you get a new headlining into the car without damaging it without taking the windscreen out?
Not had a problem yet with any speed bumps that go across the whole of the road ... just take them slowly. However reckon that the sort of humps that are used for traffic calming ... rubber, square, bevelled on all sides would cause problems. Wheels would straddle a bit and hence you wouldnt get...
I live nearby ... but wasnt me! I know there is another one about (driven by another guy called Andy) but thought it was older than a 54 plate!
Ive got 3 kids and 2 cats by the way :D
Im beginning to feel excited again. Got leave work early tonight ... so that means Ill be starting my drive home in just 15 minutes time! Thats the effect of my V6 on me! :D
Im a mentor to a variety of people at work. Held a mentoring meeting this afternoon as part of a hot lap around the...
