Very thought of driving my Vee and I get a smile on my face. I wake up in the morning and think "hurray, got to drive my Vee to the gym", I think about going to work and its "bloody hell work ... but at least Ive got to drive the Vee there". Cant imagine many other cars make you feel like this :D

I once started on the task of taking down headlining ... quickly decided better. Can you get a new headlining into the car without damaging it without taking the windscreen out?

Unfortunately on Mk1 I dont think you can override it :( Well not without doing something drastic like taking out the fuses like you mentioned.

Not had a problem yet with any speed bumps that go across the whole of the road ... just take them slowly. However reckon that the sort of humps that are used for traffic calming ... rubber, square, bevelled on all sides would cause problems. Wheels would straddle a bit and hence you wouldnt get...
