Yay ... finally got my subscription copy of Evo. Mikes 255 is looking mint, and everybody needs to read just how great Evo reckon the V6 is. These guys drive all sorts of exotica ... and rate the V6 highly as a result ;)
Ive always considered a CTRs performance comparable to my old 172 Mk 1 below triple figures. Certainly the CTRs Ive driven felt similar performance wise (as long as you ragged the CTRs arse).
My V6 255 pulls much harder than the 172 all the time ... grunt makes a significant difference when...
Well l was going to joke about how Nik would come back and find that his wheels had shrunk and yours had grown ... but Im too used to another place where mods play with your posts and so didnt ;)
Spotted only my second ever V6 Mk1 ... silver like most. About 17:00 Sunday coming thru the traffic lights in Fair Oak near Soton. I was in the family wagon - gave the guy a thumbs up and he acknowledged back.
Reckon the registration was T*NGO ... guess the number ;)
Didnt see any CS...
Elephant = Admiral ... so not a suprise. Maybe Ill sue the 3rd party for the negative affect that his poor driving has had on my insurance costs ... I am not go to lose out for simply sitting in traffic minding my own business!!

Using mine every day ... but have a big family 7-seater too. It does have its rare challenges eg. I couldnt buy a radiator at B&Q the other evening since couldnt fit in the car ... so will have to fight the crowds at the weekend.
All in all tho as a car for commuting in its great. Very comfy...

Im pretty sure I was there in that group photo!!!
Yeah ... whilst we were looking at the pictures that Dave had taken, you went to your car. We regrouped having seen how crap they were and made him stand much closer. Freaky fog.
Ok so the pictures are crap because there was a lot of moisture in the air (got very foggy later) and the flash on my camera is brutal and picks out any vapour.

Im amazed at the number of people who ask, "So did you do all the mods yourself?" and are surprised when I reply, "No, I bought it from Renault like that, complete with the engine on the back seat!"...
Id parked out the front of a shop and...

1977 VW Polo - GAA 104S. Was my parents, then my sisters, then mine, and in the end my missus had it. Flogged it for £50 to a guy as a project for his son ... my missus took half of the money the cheeky mare . Did about 130k - last 50k without going about about 50 mph. Valve guides were...
