Car buying is always subjective. There is no formula which says "this is the best car to buy for the money". Car buying is about performance, looks, comfort, practicality, marque, colour, smell, sound ....
Sure I could buy a faster car for the money ... but then I could buy a £100 banger XJS...
And here are a few more from me ...

And then a few of us gorging on the cheap big plate steaks in my local ... whole meet was a rather long drive for me ;)...
Well neutral on the Vee is much further forward that it is on the 172 ... side effect of the gear box being behind you. On our other car the neutral is a long way back ... side effect of the box at the front and the gear stick coming out the dash. For the first week I get getting "lost" when...
LOL ... I did actually think somebody might make a "front bottom" joke :)
I needed to qualify it since of course V6 has boot at the front and at the back ... double the please :D One at the back is rather tight tho :p
Well my assistant was telling me today that IKEA used to (or may still) do carboard roof racks. Now that would be terrifying!!
Saw some people looking a bit surprised when I turned up to the loading bay ... but I knew itll all fit in just fine. Im good a Tetris too ;)
So Ive just got back from "popping" to do some late night shopping at IKEA in Croydon. I say "popping" since its actually a 180 mile round trip ... but still my missus said "can you pop to IKEA to get me a few things tonight". If I said I was popping on a 180 mile trip to a CS meet I know what...
Welcome ... and all Clios rattle (including my new V6) ... but who cares when theyre such fun to drive :D Turn up the stereo when youre just cruising, and turn up the engine when youre caning it ;)
Got a thumbs up off a VW Golf driver on the motorway today :D Get and give waves to "proper" RS owners ... however too many 172/182 owners where I live are owners "by accident" (aka was top of range Clio for local driving) rather than enthusiasts.
Yep ... cruise is done off the ABS sensor which is more accurate than the speedo which is set a little bit high to protect your license ;) As for GPS ... Ive always been slightly suspicious of instantaneous readings especially at lower speeds ... is spot on for averages over longer distances tho.
Wouldnt want full perspex .. but just enough to show the "RENAULTsport v6" on the top would be cool. Current covers do a spot on job of keeping things cool enough and attenuating the noise just enough.
Yeah ... but that one had some paint imperfections ... that was why they were knocking it out cheap.
Reckon this is the unregd car from their showroom. IIRC they wanted £23.7k when I spoke to them ... but they werent in a rush to sell. Clearly theyre more keen now ...
In terms of UK right-hand drive numbers, then reckon both Mk1 and Mk2 V6s fall below the 500 number. Jeremy Townshend (from Renault UK and a ClioSport member) will be able to give exact numbers, but reckon Mk1s were in the 300s, and outlook for Mk2s is similar.
However, would be strange you...
Sorry no clip! Might be a lightweight one on a Cup ;)
Was definitely a strong 2-tone on my 172 Mk1 ... V6 sounds like its off a tiny, tinny car like a City Rover :o
Yep a mugshot ... but (in my copy at least) looks like there is a ethereal fog in front of you ... so you wont get people asking for autographs unless its a foggy day ;)
LOL ... some new plasterboard fixings :) Bought some security lights the other night and they fitted too ... but strangely had to go back at the weekend in the 7-seater for the chrome bathroom radiator ;)
Actually I bought a new vacuum cleaner the other week ... one of those "Henry" ones...
About 19:50 in B&Q car park. Very smart Clio ... tastefully done. Black with good skirts, but highly illegal tints. Could hardly see the driver. Exchanged nods of respect :D
Think it was Racing Blue one ... 54 plate. About 19:45. I overrode my cruise control to catch up ... but dont think I even got a flicker out of them
