The block used would also have to be one fitted to Clio in a normal production run, so either a 1400 clio block or indeed a sleeved down 2000cc block, wonder if you could just destroke with a change of crank as mentioned above.

Right then bare with me while I give a quick explanation as why I would want to use a 1400cc bottom end a supercharge it in a 172.
I currently run my Ph1 172 in the Midland Hillclimb Championship in Class A1 (Road Going Under 2000cc)
Under the regulations you can fit a supercharger or turbo...
I've searched quite a few old threads but with no definitive answer.
What's peoples opinions for the best Rear ARB?

The Clio needs to stay in A1, if I can stay best of the rest after the Elise's...
Cheers for that insightful piece of information
Dave West is rather rapid in his 106 GTi, I'll be up against him an Loton Park in 2 weeks.

A quick introduction for the previous 3 seasons I have competed in the Midland Hillclimb Championship in my 3 Door Sierra Cosworth but due to the engine lunching itself on the rollers 3 weeks before the season opener at Prescott I need an cheapish replacement so I bought a Flame Red 1999 172...
I'm toying with the idea of curcuit racing my 172 when I finished using it for Hillclimbing.
I could just never bring myself to curcuit race the Cossie.
Rich
Yes I bought it off a fella on here "SxDaN"
First time I drove a 172 was on the test drive and have to say I was pleasantly suprised at how well it drove.
Hi mate, are you going to pop to Prescott for the season opener?
Rich
Hi Guys and Gals
Just thought I'd introduce myself.
I currently race in the Midland Hillclimb Championship and my usual car is 3 Door Sierra Cosworth unfortunatley 3 weeks before the start of the season on the rolling road it span a shell pretty much devasting the bottom end. No time or indeed...
