I hadnt even thought about it slipping! You learn something new everyday - like the day I tired to use a cheap adjustable spanner to undo a tight bolt and it just span and fucked the bolt up....yeah, lesson learnt
Ahhhhh. So many mentions of Nuts. Joy.
Yeah, they'll just me for me. I only have some very very basic tools at the moment as I (stupidly) sold my Kirkland multi set box to my dad as he liked it. Im going to be buying the Halfords Advanced stuff in the foam trays as ive got the halfords tool...
what about the halfords advanced ones?
Im pretty new to the tool stuff but for the money, surely you cant go wrong? Ratchet is where its at too.
Youll know better than me though, judging by some of the stuff I see you post!
oh, sorry.....did you think I wasnt going to get the Halfords Advanced set too?......
#csballer
I honestly shouldnt. But, I also should. Ive got my lovely nice Halfords Advanced chest ready to go too......god damn it
LOL
I just saw them and thought 'When im upside down, on my back, drunk, blind, retarded (more than usual) and I cant find the right f**king socket, these f*****s are gonna come in clutch'
Not a power tool as such but I made the terrible error of going on the Wera stand at Festival of Speed.
Anyone else seen the Joker Spanners they do? f**king mind blown. Had to pick up a set...
Adams always seem to get a good write up but I havent used them personally.
I read on detailingworld that the chap who owns the company that make Lustrous is having some poor health. So I gather thats why there is issues stocking it. Shame reallly as Lustrous Plus is the tits!
id go for a proper dedicated water spot remover. It really does melt them away, in my experience. If they wont budge, they could be etched in but lets hope not for the moment.
Im sure your neighbour is just trying to be nice, but yeah, thats a pisser for you!
Yep. I have similar results.
Honestly, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. Luck of the draw.
Ive just chalked it down to Outlook being f**king s**t
Also jumping on the AI Bandwagon: Spotify.
Jumped in the car last night, went to load up some banging tunes and pops up a message about 'AI DJ'.
Its almost creepy. It plays you 3 or 4 songs, then an american DJ bloke starts introducing the next few songs. But it also gives you random bits of...
@SharpyClio Having done a bit of 'detailing' on the side now, im in a position to offer some advice.
I started off doing the same thing as you, but for friends not a bodyshop. I also used to spend nigh on 6 hours, busting my arse, and usually charged a flat rate of £100 too.
But, as I got...
I asked @dann2707 the same thing the other day - before asking my FIL who has a bazillion tools.
He bought this one a few weeks back and used it a bunch of times whilst building his new garage, said it works perfectly and is waaaaay cheaper...
I somehow managed to not have my car, or me, in a single picture.
Probably for the best though, I was hungover as balls and sweating like Clart in a playground by the end of it.
Good meet chaps. Great to put some faces to names.
Sign me up for the next one 👌
Im always super impressed at the skill level involved in building engines.
I really really fancy giving it a crack one day - any tips on a learning platform? Im sure Youtube is utterly awash with videos but id prefer something more legitimate and dont mind paying.
Fingers crossed my brother...
As @imprezaworks has commented on machines, ill follow up with the latter part.
For a beginner, Meguiars Ultimate Compound and Polish will probably be all you'll need. Theyre decent, not too expensive and do the job well. Prepare to need to spend quite a bit on pads. I used the Chemical Guys...
If buying new @Daniel , id go with SiRamik Lustrous Plus. Recently bought a bottle off detailingworld and its insane so far. Lots of reports of it lasting 12+ months.
Not the most mindblowing beading but self cleaning and staying power are reported to be very very good. Ive had it on for ~4...
