Meglio chance………

Hello Again,
I have recently been given the chance of owning a Meglio in liquid yellow,road legal but basically a track car. I would normally just buy something like this and worry later but i have too much on my plate just now with work,isle of man trip soon,moving house,the list goes on and probably got one car too many.I’m posting to see what owners/enthusists think pricewise? The guy selling it says he has £20,000 in it and looking at the list of spec,i don’t doubt him! I will post some pics and info of the car from an advert from the first time he sold it,he has owned it twice. It is right up my street,most things that look good and are fast usually are up my street. Should i for once let some fast and interesting pass me buy or should i bite his hand off depending on price?

It looks like a decent car and has been to the right places for work doing so it's probably not a DIY conversion waiting to burst into flames. We can't really value it as we know nothing about the history but a decent LY 200 would probably be 5-8k. Mods don't really add value though as the market is limited so what he's spent on it is largely irrelevant imo, the question is how much would you be willing to pay for it?

My red Impreza Spec c is basically a track car,my white Rs Clio is a great road car,my classic impreza that i can’t gel with is definately a road car so i don’t even need it! I just find it very difficult passing on stuff like that!!!

I’ve worked on it a fair bit, been maintained by renomotive in fife for the last 6 months to a year while it’s been used as an occasional track car. I say occasional as the previous owner had various track cars he used.

Think I’d rather sink 12k into a Megane personally. You’d get a very well sorted one for 12k

Hmmmmm,thanks for the info.
I worry about things not being quite right when it is has taken such a huge amount of work to make it what it is. For once in my life,i think i will pass even though it looks the dogs ********.
Makes me sad but i definately don’t need to buy anything else that might need work or more money thrown at it,too risky at this time. 😩

Looks good. Prob has got 20k in it as they can be right money pits.

Try and find out how many miles the forged engine has done. The lifespan is a fair bit less than a stock lump.

I’m certain it says in the advert it has only done 3,000 miles since it was forged in late 2021 !
