Won't be for at least another year mate, i'm not bothering with a car whilst at uni. May get one for next summer.
I'd be in one now but for Adrian Flux :(
Definately my next car though. Got the itch to sratch.
I only saw this after the meet. Would have come and shown you all up in my Mazda 323 Fastback ;)
In reality I never want to take that to a meet, but as I have no shame i'll be along to one soon in it.
Seems like a good decision to me. A non cup packed 200 is still going to handle better than a standard 1*2 or 197. Its got all the toys such as cruise, climate etc as well as a good turn of pace and handling.
The wheels are aweful, i'd definately have gone for speedlines. But I didn't buy the...
Its been whacked into a kerb though "passenger seat airbag activated, small kerb mark on passenger side front wheel"
Just got to be patient I suppose and wait for the right one. You swapping bit off yours over to the dci if you get one?
Thats stunning. The recaro's and speedlines finish the 200's off so much. The recaros are amazing to sit in, especially compared to the armchairs in a 1*2.
Bet your made up mate. I loved the day I got my 172.
As you said though, its not easy to get more power out of them. An exhaust will give you basically nothing but noise. If you want more power then it will cost a fair bit.
I'd go for either a ph1 172:
Complete rebuild of the car using brand new parts
Supercharger
LSD
4 pots
PH2 Dash and door cards
197 Recaro's
AST coilies
Whitline ARB
Yozzasport race exhaust
Cage
or 200FF with Cup pack AG or Storm Grey with black speedlines
KW 3 Coilies
Supercharger
Yozza or...
Personally i'd steer clear, huge depreciation from the brand new car and you will probably get bored quickly.
A Twingo 133 on the other hand is a warm hatch with a proper hot hatch chassis, sporty looks, easier to sell on etc.
What puts me off mainly with the GT as mentioned above is...
I'd go for the ph1 personally. Much more special than a ph2 in standard form. They have the oz f1 cup alloys, more aggressive and special front end, have better airbox setup, twin cat which is basically a sports cat and they weigh 75kg's less.
I'd say go for the best car you can comfortably afford. If I was to go back to a MK2 RS Clio again I would go for a 182 or a ph1 172 if the price was right.
Which ever one you go for it will need the same maintenance i.e. belts, engine mounts, exhaust hangers etc.
A cup packed 182 would...
I'd go for a BTB or yozzasport exhaust personally. Thats coming from an ex ktec stealth owner.
I liked my stealth but I think there are better options personally.
