I've driven a 355. Amazing cars. They pull well, they've got 375bhp, compared to a modern supercar they're not quick atall but the sound is simply amazing.
Get the timing checked. It wouldn't surprise me if they've fucked it up. Albeit RS Clio's don't feel overly quick to drive standard, the powers pretty linear so you don't get the shove in the back you get from a turbo'd car. It should still move pretty quick up to 100 though.
He's not even removed the standard air feeds and acoustic valve when fitting that shitty IK. I bet the belts have been done properly as well too, looking at those brilliant mods :rasp:
Disconnect the airfeeds by twisting and pulling them. Then unattach the hose from the throttle body and pull the airbox back.
I'd also like to go on record and say your insane for replacing the ph1 airbox with a BMC CDA. They're great if you want less power and a more irratic torque curve though.
Its the 1.2 TCE engine. It is a cracking engine really. Advertised as having the power of a 1.4, torque of a 1.6 and economy of a 1.2, they also do a 1.4TCE now too its in the Megane. All the manufactorers are using small forced iduction engines now, they get much better economy than a n/a...
Its idiots like him that put me off trackdays. The M3 guy could be driving really well, really considerate, within his abilities etc then bang, his car is wrote off and he is £15-20K out of pocket through no fault of his own.
Is your aim to start a new thread asking a stupid question in every section of this forum before you get the car.
Its just a car, its pretty nippy and handles well. You operate it like every other FWD hatch you have onwed before.
I'd go for Ktec. Ignore the bhp increase, Ktec specialise in Renaultsports, its thier thing they have lots of experience with the 197's so i'd be taking my car and money there.
That lookers deal is awesome. If I wasn't off to uni in september i'd be off down their now. Grand in hand, direct debit details at the ready, no questions asked.
Very cheap way to get yourself into a brand new 200. Then just chuck it back at them after 2 years.
Lol for the 2K rpm before it hits the limiter. Sounding like a cat being strangled. I remember that noise a lot from my 1.2 :)
Most I ever got MPG wise from my 1.2 was 56mpg on the motorway, at 50mph.
I swear my 1.2 was no better on fuel that my 1.2, there was certainly no more than 3-5mpg...
