my passenger seat wont slide back, it tilts fine, and slides fine when you adjust the seat position but when you recline it to get into the back it wont slide, easy fix or is it broken?
doesnt bother me too much as i have new seats coming soon (let that one slip ;) ) but if i can fix i will...

i get a knocking noise mainly in first, when the wheels scrabble for grip ie when pulling fast out of a junction. is does it when in a straight line,also when turning, its like a loud knocking,thudding noise, and also the engine feels loose,as if the mounts...

iv fitted a new top mount,gearbox mount,lower box mount and fitted an uprated dogbone mount from hill power,and i have tried to adjust them as suggested on here,but still my engine feels as it is moving forwards and backwards on and off throttle,and if i accellerate in 1st gear and ger any tip...

right im replacing the tie rods on my ph1 and the renault garage has sent the wrong ones,they said there was a few options but they went for the trw arms,well turns outthey are wrongas the thread sise where it screws into the rack are far too big on the new one,and my originals have finer thread...
i have this missfire that doesnt have any regularity to it,its like a plug lead arcing out,which i think it could be,but renault want 97 quid for set so i dont wanna spend that if thats not it!

i got this for free,still taxed and tested,a mk3 golf gti 2.0 16v,just wouldnt start
sounded like the starter wasnt engaging,till i noticed the alternator spinning..............no compression,so off with the filler cap,no cam movement,took the belt cover off and its stripped all the teeth...
as most people,i worry about high mileage,so had the chance to check the compression on my 172 today,and all cylinders came back at over 160 psiwhich i thought was pretty good for 113,000 miles so no more real worries for me lol
Iv not driven my 172 in 4 days,come to drive her 2nite,got 2 mins into my drive home,when it dropped a cylinder and the orange engine warning light started flashing,seems to idle ok but exhaust is VERY boomy,then feels like on 3 cylinders when driving,any ideas guys??
