They already make a Clio with a revvy 2.0 engine its called the 200 ;)
On a serious note, if it revved higher it would need to produce more power, because otherwise it would just rev high but produce no power up there because it has already peaked.
What they should ahve used is the 1.4 TCE...
I don't think its the volume that annoys people fletcher its the boom. Doesn't bother me personally i'm used to it. Annoys my GF though, but if she wants a lift she doen't have a choice.
Decat coming soon ;)
I agree. It would have made more torque, more mpg, more tuning potential and less C02. I think they did the right thing with the Twingo RS though, but I think the heavier Clio would have suited a lightly boosted lump.
I think your right Martin. The 1.9 dci 130 would have been brilliant engine...
Go for it. I did. I love my 172, its infinately better than my old 1.2
The sportlines will fit yes. You will also get a bit for your turini's because chances are your 172 will be silver and white and silver don't go imo. If I had a black or blue 172 i'd have 2118's in white definately...
Stealths sound awful on the motorway, like a boomy halfords can.
However, driving around town they are quiet and when going for it they sound realy good.
All imo of course.
Probly going to need ITB's and Cams to get decent power out of it. 130bhp is a decent amount from a N/A 1.6 already. Honda know how to make 1.6 engines though, in 1989 they have 158bhp out of one thats inpressive for a standard engine.
Same here. When i've been on the red light for about 3 days I think hmm best chuck some in now.
There is know proper petrol stations near my house. All supermarkets.
Wish I'd have got my car on now. However maybe its better I didn't. I've only got a ktec stealth so god knows what power i'd get judging by those figures. Probably in the 150's.
If it has the alu bonnet then it should have the shift light too. Mine has both. For some reason Renault decided they would give up with these things after a while.
Great feeling getting a new car isnt it. I was blown away but how quick my 172 was when I first got it.
I'm a bit gutted now it doesn't feel as quick as it used to :( Untill you look at the speedo and you realise you are actually going pretty quickly.
I've had mine two months and am almost...
I was sat in one in Arnold Clark before. It didn't have recaros but had the 6 cd changer and digital climate. I'd have to have the recaros though, it seemed just a bit too luxury for me. I don't know why. Probably because i'm used to the basicness of the ph1.
If he'd of offered me a straight...
Why the hell would anybody actually want this. Do cars drive themselfs these days. It baffles me why cars need ESP, Tracton control, Understeer control....... Especially a Clio.
I agree with the OP. You forwarded him confirmation of your train ticket. That to me is as good as a deposit because why wouldn't you turn up. I had to pay nearly £100 for train tickets to get my 172 off Alex. The deal was sorted a week or so before, we both stuck to our word and everything went...
I found it easier in my 1.2 believe it or not despite the fact the 172 has better peddles for it. I think the problem is with it being a cable throttle is stiffer than the FBW throttle so you need no push it down harder, which means you can brake harder than you want to.
Maybe i'm just s**t. I...
