Class.
That would be an idea. I never wheelspin my car, unless its by accident if you get caught out in the rain or snow/ice. I used to wheelspin my 1.2 like mad. Dread to think how much strain it puts on the clutch, 'box and general drivetrain though. Hence why I don't do it in the 172.
I've got used to the power now. They pull well for a small car tbh.
They don't feel much quicker at low revs than a 1.2 however thats probably because i've forgotten how slow a 1.2 is. Over 3K they start to pull ok.
It is the major cause yes. Other engine mounts can cause it too though.
Mine stoped when I had the top engine mount done then started doing it again.
I think i'll be doing to dogbone mount soon.
Spot on for what you want Jamie. When i'm a bit older I could see myself in something like an S3. Its a car that does everything well, its as happy on a B-road as it is munching miles up and down the M6.
I haven't driven an S3 but by all accounts it won't be as fun to drive as an RS Clio but...
I say leave him to it. I have know idea why people on this forum do nothing but slate people doing anything out of the ordinary turini's and silvervision's.
I saw get it done mate and enjoy it. Your cars awesome and with SC power will be pretty much perfect.
They're great seats but if they're going to do this then its not good. Renault should sort it out.
My drivers seat is starting to wear a little bit but its a 10 Y/O 73K car, not a car still in warranty. Not good enough imo.
I think the top engine mount needs tightening. It had a new one on in September and it looks like its still in perfect condition as it should be so the only thing I can think of it is has come a bit loose.
This problem only started when It snowed last week and left the roads with 6" bumps in.
When going over a bump the suspension performs as normal.
However when you either go on or let of the throttle you hear a knock. Its not loud enough tat you can hear it over the radio, but if you don't...
Just noticed yours isnt a sport. I have no experience of them on non RS personally but i'm sure they're equally good. They lower it more too on the non RS.
I've got them. No pics at the minute but I recommend them 101%. The ride is good, a little stiffer than standard.
The handling has improved 10 fold for me. There seems to be more grip, more feel and generally more excitement & fun.

I think the ideal setup is the airbox (V6 or PH1) directly onto the throttle body with proper cold air feeds.
Obviously you need to relocate the battery to do this.
I think the standard setup is pretty good though, if you don't want to relocate the battery there is a quide on here to...
To be fair 197's handle a lot better than a 172 from my experience. Standard V Standard.
I know both of you are on good coilovers so I can only presume the difference is still the same.
If you'd have been on RS2's you would probably have been quicker than him.
In my opinion there is no point in getting a full service and belts done before selling the car. You will not get the full amount you spent on it back. I paid £2400 for my PH1 that needed belts within 6 months. I got them done, and engine mounts at a cost of £550. So my total cost is £2950 but I...
I'd go for matt black. Simply for a change too see if you like it.
Depends if you can be arsed paying out to go back to white if you don't like it though.
Looks well mate. Bet it sounds awesome with that filter. I'd have one but the standard setup is so much better for the car.
I can't wait for the summer either. I haven't been over 5K in my car for about 4 weeks, not been able to give it stick since i got my sportlines either :dapprove...
