Reliability of the engine doesn't seem as good as the petrols i'll say that. My 1.2 16v never gave me a single engine problem. My Gf's mums dci has had a few issues; alternator, erg valve, injectors... spent about £500ish the other month on it.
Great little car though, providing it doesn't...
Looks good mate.
Its rediculous how much space is left in the engine pay. I was bleeding just putting silvervisions in mine, they shoehorned the 2.0 in.
I've had this too since the snow. There are huge peices of ice in the road, its like 2nd gear just on idle bad, you cant even go 10mph. Today it started knocking.
I'm hoping its just a loose top mount though, going to have a look tomorrow.
PH1 or Cup for me. Not a fan of the PH2 172, not raw enough for my liking. If I did more miles and fancied a bit more comfort i'd probably just stretch to a cup packed 182.
Go for it mate. Its something different and its only £4K you could lose that amount of money in a year if you bought something like a new Focus ST or something.
Thats why I didn't get coilovers. My sportlines seem good so far, haven't been able to test them properly yet though due to the weather.
I'm sure coilies are far better once properly setup though. I just cba with the hastle.
I've bought everything outright for my cars including my cars. I got last years insuance on the drip because it was 0% so you would be stupid not to. Rather have £1460 sat in my bank tbh.
The only things I would willingly finance is a car and house. Which 70% of people have finance on...
Mine lasted four months. It spat its CV boot off. £10+VAT later and all is well.
Its got a slight oil leak but i've been informed it isn't worth fixing. Not bad enough, cheper to just put more oil in. If it gets any worse that will be its next repair though.
I agree with the over 5K thing its like that on all RS Clio's. Untill your on a national speed limit road you can't use the power atall because of the way its delivered you have to be going over 40 to use the power.
Its f**king brilliant once on a national speed limit road though.
Martin will be along soon in this thread. He loves his DCi. The 80's are the only dci i've been in. They feel loads faster than a 1.2 16v, have a better suspension and steering setup and i've seen one return 74.9MPG on a 70MPH, 20 mile motorway trip. My GF's Mums has returned 56.9MPG over the...
Only one picture unfortunately. The car will be cleaned and some proper pictures taken when the weather clears up.
Loving the Sportlines so far though, haven't been able to test them properly yet or even drive the car for the two days since they where fitted but they stiffen the car up...
Its a joke Chris. Unfortunately its not just a £600 fine you get its 6 points then they further penalise you when you do get insurance.
All these insurance companies that offer owners club discounts piss me off too. Its like they offer you a discount providing your not from the North West. Cnuts!
