I don't think the calipers in the Yozza kit are radially mounted the same as jamsports and ktecs. So that might be where the saving is, or his website might not be upto date
My cuz had them on his 182 FF and gave them to me when he part ex'd it for a type R GT. There Climairs but I actually think they look OK :)
As I was about to overtake the BMW one of the lads in the back put his window down and I was half expecting a beer can to be thrown out, thats why I was...
Cheers mate but TBH you weren't exactly hanging around yourself, shame that slow BMW held us up across the roundabout as it would of been nice to have a side by side blast :D
Nope mate sorry, I do have a load of photos but a) didn't have time to constantly update a thread (hats off to those who some how manage it) and b) didn't want all my funky ideas stolen.
I'm considering making a few adjustments to it which should see an increase in power, but also increase...
I've only just got it back out on the road as I sent my dampers off last month for a service and when they came back one was leaking, so I sent them back, only for DHL to lose them :( anyway after what felt like months I've finally got them back and on the car :D
Were you in your meg? as I...
Not sure TBH mate, Andy Cutler (GDI) did offer a package but that did include cams and it was supposed to be good.
As Danny says you'll have to port the inside of your inlets to ensure a good match but I'm sure the PH1 throttle body is the same square bolt pattern as the Jenvey, the fly by wire...
Just pull the 197 lump out and drop a R26 lump in, by the time you p!ss about with pistons, rods, gaskets, oil's, uprated clutches, cam belts, aux belts etc.... you may aswell take it in the ass and pay for the fabrication and welding of a new gearbox mount and probably lower engine mount. Then...
Danny I honestly only know of 2 cars running a genuine 300 bhp+, mine and Pauls (RStuning), I've only had a chance to cover a couple of thousand miles since I finished it but it has been faultless so far. The way Paul mapped it means the power delivery is very smooth and alot more linear than...
The last I heard from Chris he was just going to give it a miss, by the time he looked at the cost of either a) using the turbo he had and having all custom manifold and down pipe made or b) ditching the turbo and buying off the shelf manifolds/downpipe and a GT28r it was going to be mega...
Looking at it from a critical point of view you'd need the same style manifold as found in the JMS kit as it incorporates the injectors. Rather than the Jenvey which is a manifold, individual blocks for the injectors then the plenum in addition. I know people are stating that it wont flow as...
TBH Russ it wouldn't fit on turbo conversion as that's where the intercooler pipework runs, however on a SC it should fit no probs and the fact it has a 70mm tb is equally appealing. The only thing is how well does it flow on a N/A setup compared to the standard inlet?
Right chaps obviously JMS have recently designed a nice intake system for the 1*2 which has given really good gains. However when looking on ebay the other day I came across this...
Mate your setup has the fuel pressure regulator attached to your pump sender unit, all it does is bleed excess pressure off straight back into the tank rather than pumping it all the way to the fuel rail, then all the way back to the tank.
Yeah maybe they did, I originally considered it as a tuning option early last year but at the time megs engines were still expensive.
I still cant believe that no ones squeezed the engine and box into a clio.
Too much money and a very understanding wife LOL
Yeah from what we can gather it is the first one to be completed and up and running there are a couple mor e in the process of being built at the moment. TBH I'm surprised no one thought of it before.
The DCi box works perfect in my conversion, which leads me to think you may have got a different ratio box to me, as even @ 20mph in second it still flies.
I think you should tell us more about this conversion that you and you mate Steve dreamnt up as it sounds quite interesting LOL :p
By the time you take into consideration a headgasket set, honing the bores, maching the head for the pulley etc.... I'd be tempted to just splash out on a custom mount and run both the engine and the 225 box as well. that way it'll be more reliable and have a stronger gear box.
