Just had a look on piper and (if the profile measurements are correct) you'll be looking at 40 degrees overlap on the 270's and a massive 64 degrees overlap on the 285's. So I don't think theyll work very well, speak to Scoff or Andrew Cooke they might be able to offer some advice :)
Try catcam mate,

the 5502236 halfway down the page are turbo cams, I've seen pretty good results with standard 182 cams in mine so it might be worth looking to see if theres and similar profiles to stock 172/182's
TBH it looks a bit of a nail, it looks as though it was indeed blue to start with, there doesnt seem to be any heat shielding on the bulk head, the air con has only been partially removed, as mentioned the silicone pipes look very suspicious and are routed totally different to every other...
Just spotted this on ebay.

LOL Specky was trying to get me to take his tigra to the shops for some milk last week when I was at RStuning, I may of been tempted but it was pissing down and I've seen what a beast it is in the dry never mind the wet :)
Yeah I noticed your other thread in sutt's section, it was just with you putting in your last post that you'd tried reverse on your old box and still no luck, I read it as you couln't get reverse on your old box either and wondered if your mechanic knew what he was doing LOL.
I just hope you...
Right mate I'f I was you I'd take it some where that knows a bit about clios.
Basically if you disconnect the linkage and move the gear stick fully left and fully right you will see that yes there is only a limited amount of movement before as you say it feels "like a wall is stopping it" now...
Right I recently had a helping hand in something that might interest you, basically a friend was in a similar situation to yourself and wanted megane power in his clio he had a megane engine so I gave him a spare F4R block I had. After a bit of head scratching we decided the best approach would...
I appreciate what your saying Dave, and as someone who enjoys nothing more than taking an under powered 600cc road bike out in the fast group on track days and humbling the "all the gear no idea" brigade, you sound like someone after my own heart.
However as I've previously mentioned the...
As in you made sure the plug was pushed fully home as if it wasn't the initial start up could of vibrated it enough to break the connection which would result in the lack of spark
Yes mate, basically the linkage rod that runs from the gear stick to the gear selector underneath needs adjusting. By undoing it and rotating it slightly inside the sleeve it should cure it :)
I'll be honest it hasn't really been built to set 1/4 miles at the pod and I doubt it will see much track work as I prefer bike trackdays. What it is though is a very flexible set up that allows surprisingly swift progress on the road.
I must also stress that it isn't finished yet either, I...
A few people have mentioned traction troubles, obviously foot flat to the floor in first does induce wheel spin however you can still launch it quickly on half throttle. Whilst it was quite wet yesterday on a dry stretch of road I planted it @20mph in second and can safely say there wasn't any...
Right, cheers for all the positive comments everyone, I'll try and answer a few of the questions raised.
First off as Hutchie and Ashy pointed out they too have helped me to get the car to this spec, so for that I thank you both :)
Whilst there have ben a few questions about gearbox...
As a few people know last year I descended into the world of forced induction with my clio, the long term plan was simple, I wanted 300bhp. Ktec were just in the process of releasing their low pressure turbo kit and after speaking to them I decided to have the low pressure turbp (LPT) conversion...
Right mate looking at your side bar it says you have a 172 turbo? did you have it done by ktec?
If so and it's the high boost set up you'll have the uprated fuel pump, the external fuel pressure regulator in the engine bay and a return fuel pipe running back to the tank.
I'm pretty...
Good effort mate, nice to see people using there initative and building something themselves :)
Not everyone is mechanically minded though, so you cant take anything away from someone who wants an extreme clio (like coops') paying some one else to do it. It's just one of those things...
In all fairness I got them for free when my cousin was part ex'ing his 182 for a brand new Type R GT I don't think I would of actually spent my own hard earned on them, however they look OK in my eyes and just about every other cliosport owner who's seen them in the flesh has said how smart they...
