Cheers lads but thats actually big ern, one of Gaz's mates.
D1cky have a look through this thread as I'm sure there are some pics in there of my car. I'm at work at the moment and can't link the photos into this thread :(

I have a 182 turbo that I retro fitted a PH1 fuel system to.
I did have a diagram somewhere on how it all works but your thinking along the right lines, basically by having the FPR connected to a port on the manifold your equalising the pressure inside the FPR to the same pressure as whats in...
A lad round our way had a mint xr3i (going back about 15 years here) and he filled the oil all the way up to the fill hole LOL, I don't really have to say what happend do I.
Re: Oil Pressure and Oil Temperature
Ben make sure that you don't get mixed up between BSP threads and NPT threads as there different. It's just D1CKY refers to his being an 1/8th NPT.
There is a lad who fitted one in a megane coupe and has used a combination of standard renault mounts for the top mount and gearbox mount.
There is also another lad who has a mk1 clio valver and hes fitted the crank, rods, pistons from a f4rt engine into a stock f4r bottom end. He's then...
Flan, in the tank there is a pump/sender unit combo, inside this there is a fuel pressure regulator which is a bosch 3.5 bar unit. It's quite a simple setup so that when the pressure in the fuel line exceeds 3.5bar it opens and bleeds the fuel straight back into the tank.
On PH1's they had a 3...
Mate you've hit the nail on the head with your diagnosis, it's the lack of idle valve thats causing the issues and is something experienced by a number of people moving from a drive by wire throttlebody to a cable operated body (single or multiples).
Best person to speak to would be Andy Cutler...
No probs mate, I'll take some snaps and email them to you. I'm glad I didn't opt for the 19 row LOL. I could of trimmed the grill/bumper to get the 16 row in but it would've looked poo whe you opened the bonnet.
Right after a little bit of trial and error a 16 row oil cooler is to big. Unfortunatley with me having an intercooler under the front cross member the only options were above the cross member or behind the drivers side fog lamp. I even went to pirtek to see if the could swage some low profile...
It's a ballache running a project thread whilst actually doing something, I took loads of photos when I stripped the engine out of my car and fitted the low comp pistons and forged rods etc... at first I was taking photos every two minutes but towards the end I was pretty sick and was only...
Just squeeze a meg 225 lump in there :) for the price it could cost for a full gasket set and any machining work thats required, an engine swap might be the cheaper option.
Mate when I did mine they were 40nm but they were the ones that came with my catcam rods. I read a while ago Icarus saying thay ARP bolts should be torqued up (think 40nm) and undone, 3 times before torqueing them up for good.
I've also just had a read through my workshop manual but can't see...
Mate you should of just text me, but here goes.
With the Engine Dynamics conversion (and I'm pretty sure Ktec now do this but I'm not 100%) they use the return pipe that goes to the header tank. All you'll need is a bit of hose and just run it to the coolant inlets that are on the turbo...
Anyone have any idea on the best/cheapest place to get a mocal 19 row oil cooler with braided hoses and a thermostat plate?
Cheapest place I've found so far is on ebay at £163 + £10 P+P
Cheers
Steve
Sounds like I'd need to:-
1. Ditch A/C to get rid of the AC pipe
2. Fit a slimline fan or the short custom radiator used with ITBs
3. Possibly a funky shaped intercooler?
Realistically though your right it will be very tight as I'm using 2 1/2" intercooler piping.
It would work...
I actually had a look yesterday and my intercooler pipework runs along where the plenum sits, I could run a thinner fan arrangement and lower the intercooler pipework run but it's difficult to judge size wise without everything in front of me.
On a different note, is there any form of idle...
Chris it's as we suspected in your other thread mate and it's a total no go.
1. The turbo isn't genuine, it might fit between the block and the bulkhead but it's difficult to say with out some form of reference to size in the pics. It's also an externally wastegated turbo which means you'd have...
If I'm honest I see clio upgrades in 3 different worthwhile conversions and prices.
Conversion 1 - ITBs roughly 200bhp. This is the cheapest option and gives great results, the only downside is when you want more power every additional mod (cams, headwork, high CR) is both expensive and moves...
Thats it fully fitted mate but it sat very close to the bulk head. I ended up buying ktecs group N mounts to stop the engine rocking so much. That turbo in the pic is a GT28R and is alot smaller than the one you have.
Right Chris I'm not being a bellend mate, I'm currently on to my second clio turbo conversion and know how much it costs to do something correct so rather than see you spending a lot of hard earned cash to make the components you have work I'm trying to steer you in the right direction.
The...
If it isn't genuine some seem to be ok but there are alot of horror stories about people spending £2-300 on a copy then them blowing up after only a few miles.
With out wanting to sound negative mate I'd just abandon the thought of turboing it now.
The only F4R turbo manifolds available are for T25/T28 turbo's unless it's a funky hybrid it won't fit as it will have a T4 flange so will either cost you a fortune to have a custom manifold made or a...
